Great productThe travel sized dispenser is great. I carry it with me and it's most convenient at the ball park when I use the bathroom. Often time there is no soap in the bathrooms so this product comes in handy.

Great wicks
Vornado Humidifier WicksIf ordering from Amazon, I do find it to be a good idea to watch the prices for this item on Amazon since they fluctuate up to $4.00 difference depending on when you look. What's up with that? If you're buying several packages at a time, that really adds up!

Wusthof 8" wide blade chef's knife 4584/20There are knives on the market today with fancier steels, such as VG-10 on the Kershaws and "Trizor 10X" on the Chef's Choice. I have not tried these other fancy knives, and I am even comfortable in believing their claims that these new steel formulations will hold an edge much better. The fancy steels have a Rockwell-C hardness of 59-60, compared to the Wusthof's 56, but when it comes to balance, feel, and just plain old cutting performance, I doubt the Kershaws and the Chef's Choice knives can beat this Wusthof wide blade 4584/20.
As for this knife's edge-holding ability, I do pamper my knives and I don't dump them in the sink or dishwasher. I am careful with using knives on only wooden cutting boards. As such, my knives stay very sharp for a long time. A few seconds of touching up on the steel once every couple of weeks is all that's required to keep it ultra razor sharp.
Maybe the VG-10 and Trizor 10x steel knives don't need to be touched up once every couple of weeks to stay sharp? Somehow, I doubt that.

I'm cookin' for a livin'...I'm biased against all Wusthof "Classic" knives...I think that they're too light weight and small scaled (the grip is too narrow for me) but...
I bought TWO of these for myself 'cause this is the BEST bread knife that I've EVER used although I highly recommend the "Grand Prix" line for it's better "grip".
Biased or not I'm still loadin' dis bad boy up wit tha MAX ...5 mojo*z! HAZAAH!!!
best thing since sliced breadIf you need a bread knife, buy this one.
Great Bread KnifeThe Wusthof Classic line is the more conservative counterpart to the Grand Prix line. The only difference, however, is the handle style. I personally prefer the Grand Prix, but this is an issue of personal preference. The balance and grip of these knives are as close to perfect as I have found. For those wondering what benefits a higher priced knife provides, one benefit is that the blade (or tang) is one piece all the way through the handle. This makes the blade much stronger, and less likely to snap.
This particular model, the bread knife, is a great knife. Many people think tomatoes are the hardest food items to clearly cut. I think bread is much more difficult; but this knife makes the task seem easy.
I highly recommend the Wusthof 9" bread knife.

Great piece of tupperware...but for marinades? I dont knowHaving said all that...sometime after buying and using it, happily...I found that marinating meats (this doesnt work as well with chicken on the bone) is much easier and space saving if i put my meat and marinade in a ziploc...get all the air out and seal it. It takes up much less room in the fridge and requires alot less turning because when you remove the air the marinade surrounds the meat (depending on the thickness) more effectively.
I would say this is a good tupperware product if you need something of this size for multiple uses..and can justify using it many times for many things. I wouldnt buy it just for use to marinade or just for storage. I think if i had to buy it again..I would want to be able to say that I could use it several times a week for storing (baked good, maybe deli, snacks) marinading, transporting items...etc. I think that is the only way this would make a *solid* purchase.
Double DutyThe lid is nice and high and while you could not marinate a 7-lb chicken, you could marinate the pieces.
Right now, there are over 20 homemade muffins stored happily on the counter in this container.
So many uses!

Why only 4 stars .... well ...One .. it takes close to a good 3 to 4 minutes to make a crepe on this machine even though it has a 900 watt element (200 more than and older model...) so unless you are makeing crepes for one ... realx have a drink cause your gonna be sitting at this machine for some time ..
Two .. the teflon covering .. well it's French teflon ... don't expect it to last ... nuff said ...
Three .. the handle doesnt come off and the crepe batter is pretty liquid so get ready to use toothpicks to clean the cracks between the handle of the crepe maker and teflon plate
Four .. appart from that it's probably the best machine out there .. definitely for the money ... and .. since we love crepes and theres more than one person in my house I've bought 2 of these machines ... go figure ....
PS.... you have to try the corn meal crepes they are the most .....
Man is this easyI always have used a stove top crepe pan and thought it slow and kind of a pain. That is how my dad always did it so I always thought it was the best way.
Not anymore. A friend recommended I try the Villaware electric crepe maker. Non stick coating, quick and easy. Boy were they right. Just dip the the cooker in the pan they include and you are making a crepe every 25 seconds or so. Easy to clean. I love this thing. Good recipes too, altough their basic recipe is not sweet enough.
If you love crepes. This is the piece to get.

Good Set, Compare to Others For SelectionThe Wusthof Classic line is the more conservative counterpart to the Grand Prix line.
This set includes an 8 inch chef's knife, a 3 ½ inch paring knife, a 6 inch sandwich knife, 8 inch bread, a 5 inch salami, a 2 ¾ inch trimming knife, a sharpening steel, and an oak block
The 8 inch chef's knife is a great knife. Wusthof offers four sizes of chef's knives in the Classic version, 5, 6, 8 and 10 inch. For most home cooks, I think the 8 inch knife is the best choice. The 6 inch is a bit small for bigger jobs, but the 10 inch is too big for most jobs. While the 8 inch isn't perfect for all uses, if you are only buying one size chef's knife (and most people only buy one), this is the one I would recommend.
As for the 3 ½ inch paring knife, this knife falls into the category of overkill for me. Most cooks will get by just fine with the 4 ½ inch utility knife. There is really no notable difference in size for the vast majority of applications between the 3 ½ inch paring knife and the 4 ½ inch utility knife. I prefer the 4 ½ inch utility knife, but the 3 ½ inch paring knife will do the trick.
I have found very few uses for the 6 inch sandwich or 5 inch salami knives. I prefer the larger size of the chef's knife or the smaller 4 ½ inch utility knife. These knives are just the wrong width and length for most tasks, and falls into the overkill department, except when part of a set.
The 3 ¾ inch trimming knife, however, is a good length for small tasks, like trimming fat from cuts of meat.
The bread knife, is a great knife. Many people think tomatoes are the hardest food items to clearly cut. I think bread is much more difficult; but this knife makes the task seem easy. However, I prefer the 9 inch knife over the 8 inch included in this set.
When it comes to sharpening steels, I have found very little difference between Henckels and Wusthof. As long as you buy a high end steel, you really won't go wrong. Therefore, I shop for this item on price, and Henckels has a price advantage. However as the steel comes with the set, you won't go wrong with this steel.
This set is a good deal as far as price. However, keep in mind you really only get 7 knives. Adding the set of steak knives (which I consider a luxury, and not a necessity), will fill the remainder of the block.
Finally, I would recommend you compare this set with the 10 piece couple's set, listed as ASIN: B00005MGKD. That set replaces provides a second chef's knife, a longer bread knife, and deletes the 2 ¾ inch trimming knife. It is more expensive, so compare your needs, and see my review of the other set.
Excellent KnivesThe only drawback to the set is that an accompanying set of 6 Wusthof Classic Steak Knives are very expensive...but like the knives in this set, the steak knives are top quality and so I guess you get what you pay for.
I could not be more happy with this set.

I cook for a living...and this is the best...I'm not a big fan of Wusthof knives...they're just o.k. I don't see too many in professional kitchens although they are catching on with the young ones coming up... because of the heavy marketing program, I guess. I just know that I spend a lot of time honing and re-edging their blades for them.
I bought one of these and used it for a month just to see how it performed and it was splendid. I must qualify that by saying that I use an 8 inch knife as most pros do. I don't have much use for a "sixer" but it IS the most usable 6 inch knife that I've encountered as it is wider than the competition and has plenty of knuckle clearance for even my big hand and the grip is perfect, plenty of rock and roll room.
I would imagine that if you have a small hand that you might prefer this over an 8 inch knife as it is MUCH lighter in weight than other brands also.
It is the best "Princess" knife available at this price.
Great KnifePersonally, I use this knife most when I am cooking mexican food or making breakfast when i need to dice up a little bit of onion, a little bit of tomato and a little bit of everything else. The short length of the blade comes in handy when you have a limited amount of counter space such as in an apartment.
The handle is fantastic! Not only does it look killer, but it doesn't slip when it gets wet or oily. It is also a great fit for people with small or large hands. I have small hands, and i love this series of knives, and my brother who has large hands finds these handles to work for him as well.
This knife is too short to do large chopping jobs, but it works great for smaller ones. Great for Asian cooking as well.
Perfect for small hands
Also, it's hard to find, it's not in the current T-ware catalogs, so unless you know a consultant who happens to have this on a shelf ready to sell, this is about your only bet to pick it up.
