The Only Way to Cook
Calphalon is the only way to go. My 12" non-stick pan is great among my collection. The handle stays cool. Careful though, put cold eggs in the hot pan, and yes, you will get some sticking. Lower setting on the stove, warmer foods and the pan performs great. Easy cleanup w/nylon and mild detergent. Please never, never use any metal utensils! Really lasts a lifetime--with proper care and very good cleaning. Very heavy though with high lip for "flipping". Use a lighter pan for that. Go for it!

THE VERY BEST
In 1991 my brother introduced me to Calphalon cookwear. Now there isn't anything that can come close to it in cookwear. Calphalon is the only cookwear to have in youre home. The taste of the food is wonderful, cleanup can't be beat.I love myCALPHALON. Sandra w. feltner

Great Pan!
This pan is great for omelettes, eggs, bacon and even pan fried steak. Just don't set your temp too high because it heats up quicker than you think. We have several Caphalon items and love all of them.

3 qt saute pan
I would agree with the former reviewers - this is the best pan I have ever owned. I don't plan on buying another one this size for a long long time. Good price also from what I have researched!

I would not cook without this pan!
Absolutely the best saute pan, actually the best cooking pan I have ever owned. Food does not stick even with little or no oil. Flawless clean up. Food cooks quicker and more evenly at lower temperatures. Best feature - brown on range top and then transfer saute pan to oven. Clean up - still flawless. Also consider purchasing the griddle - best pancakes ever - lighter fluffier.

Even temperature, non-stick cooking
The handle stays reasonably cool to the touch while cooking on the stove top. The handle on the lid does get hot however. The non-stick surface is great! I don't need to use oils, etc as I have to with other pans. And the temperature is distributed evenly and quickly. Even the kids noted that the foods didn't burn like they do in other cookware (stainless and glass). I plan to purchase more of the Calphalon brand because of the great success I've had with this pan.

Sweet!!!!
The Stainless is flawless. It truely has a mirror finish. I wash it in the dishwasher and a quick wipe again gets the spots off. The only complaint I have which would make my rating a 4.996 on the scale is that the crevices between the spikes are not super round like everywhere else. You can kind of see the pressing of the stainless. You also cant tell that the handle is hollow and makes the ballancing point about an inch in front of where your thumb goes. Very balanced and very comfortable. Also this is 18/10 and is better than 18/8 because it has 2% more nickle and has an added 2% molydenum, which gives it more resistance to harsh chemicals like detergents and salts. Better quality and cheeper than arrogant KitchenAid. Absolutely beautiful as well.

If you love Calphalon, you NEED this!
Anyone who owns a Calphalon cookware set needs not be told of its superb quality. I had high expectations for this simple tool and it managed to exceed them:
The stainless steel tool is much heavier than you expect it to be. It has a great feel to it, it looks wonderful, works like a charm, and cleans up effortlessly. Plus, it seems practically indestructable. You absolutely cannot go wrong with this!

Stylish Stainless Steel Pasta Fork
The Calphalon Stainless Steel Pasta Fork is an essential kitchen utensil. I have a set of the Calphalon black nylon utensils in a tall crock near the stovetop, and I hang my Calphalon stainless steel utensils from my Calphalon hanging pot rack (all the Calphalon stainless steel utensils have a hole in their ends, and they match the handles of the pans, too). You could also put the stainless steel utensils in a stainless crock (All-Clad makes a set , too).

The pasta fork is so useful. You can use it for the light stirring of the pasta in the boiling water in your pasta pentola, and you can serve your pasta with it, too. I recommend hand-washing this utensil, even though it is dishwasher-safe.

I can't say enough good things about this knife!
This knife is very heavy, & is perfect for slicing & dicing. It is very sharp, & will cut through anything with ease. I plan to buy more of knives by this manufacturer. I have a full set of Calaphon cookware, & you can't go wrong with this brand. It has a full tang, & a lifetime guarantee.

Excellent all-purpose knife
I'm not a chef nor much of a cook so I want and need just one all-purpose knife in the kitchen for most jobs. This knife is perfect. I love the feel, heft, and size. It's also WONDERFUL to have a sharp knife in the house!! This purchase has taught me that knives are one of those things where you truly get what you pay for. WORTH EVERY PENNY.

Great knife
I bought this knife as part of the 15 piece set. As with all the knives in the set (see review), it is a wonderful example of the knife makers art. Everything from design to execution is on par with any knife produced in Germany. They just feel right in your hand. The steel is a great compromise between stain resistance, and edge keeping ability. A simple rinse and wipe keeps it looking new, yet a few strokes on a whetstone bring it to a razors edge. These are knives that you will be proud to own.

Fabulous knife at a great price
Cuts bread from my machine very easily and doesn't make as much of a mess as other knives. Price is also very good for such a quality knife.

the crumbless wonder
I've only used stamped serrated bread knives with tiny little teeth that create a mess and take some work.
I was amazed at the few crumbs this knife produced when cutting. With the weight of the knife it helps in making even slices very easy with minimum effort. Good value too.

Nice
I have used stamped, serrated knives for bread duty for some time. I really didn't think that anything else was needed. Most of my sandwich bread, as well as all of my ethnic bread is made here at home, so it pretty much gets sliced on the fly.

When I bought this knife, I was impressed by the way that the extra heft of the forged blade cut through crust without complaint. I also bought a plastic "bread keeper" (which works very well), and it included a plastic slicing guide. I noticed that the Calphalon bread knife was able to produce consistant, thin sandwich slices with less effort than the lighter stamped knives. The slices are also smooth and straight, and are made with less crumbs. You can live without this knife, but it does the job just a little bit better, and it looks and feels wonderful.

I love this pan!
I have this pan and love it so much I just ordered the 4-1/2 quart version. I use my Calphalon Tri-Ply pots and pans daily and love them as much if not more than my All Clad stainless. The lids fit snugly and that is terribly important when I make rice and steam veggies. My All Clad can't make the same claim and they cost a bunch more as we all know. They don't stick and clean up in a cinch, their weight, balance and design is superb as well.
Give this line a try, start with one of their "try me" collector's pans, you won't regret it!

Better bargain than expected.
I have an "everyday" pan from this line and like it very much. So I ordered this and it is bigger and better than I expected. Bigger is the operative word. It seems much bigger than a straight sided 3qt sauce pan. It heats up wonderfully and stays hot with medium heat. Is easy to clean, comes with directions and says can clean with "Bon Ami" or "Bar Keepers Friend" if food sticks. I really like the rim too, it is smooth and easy to pour from it. I will keep my straight sided sauce pan for fixing malt-o-meal as the bubbling up tends to splatter up out of the sides. All in all a great bargain.

A Great Pot at a Great Price
Compared with the prices of other pieces in the collection, this pot is a steal! It cooks evenly, and cleans easily. What more can you ask for? I traded in my old Revere copper bottom set for Tri-ply and love it. Even the more expensive pieces are definately worth the price.

My Favorite Teapot
I've been using a Brown Betty faithfully for my tea for years, but when my friend showed me this Chantal TeaSteep, I was intrigued. It is so easy to haul out the wet leaves before my tea gets bitter (I recycle the steeped leaves as mulch on my outdoor plants), I never used to catch it in time to prevent bitterness. My tea tastes great consistently, epecially my favorite loose leaf teas from TeaTimeGarden.com, and not only was it easy to find the perfect color of pot for my kitchen decor on Amazon.com, but I got it for half the price of my friend's (;-) tea-hee!) delivered right to my door. I got some great Chantal cups to coordinate with my pot, in different colors for all my tea-drinking friends to tell their cups apart. I am perfectly pleased with this teapot. That Bodum glass teapot with the infuser looks neat, too, but I prefer to match my kitchen decor, have easier assembly/disassembly, and hide the potentially mineral-stained interior of my pot from prying eyes!

Pure pleasure to use
Good workmanship, well-balanced, easy to use in spite of the size, and a very functional ceramic infuser. I am getting another one (just to be safe).

The best teapot EVER!
Having never personally owned a teapot before, I am very impressed with this one. I pride myself on owning high-quality kitchen tools, and this is a fine addition to my collection. It is large enough to brew a 2-quart batch of iced tea and durable enough to stand up to some abuse. Perfect for a first foray into the world of tea, or even as a versatile piece to keep around for when you serve dessert or afternoon tea.

What's not noted in the product description are a few great features of this teapot, which, I think, make it well worth the money: 1) it has a LOCKING LID, which makes pouring effortless; 2) it comes with a STEEPER, made of the same coated stoneware as the pot, that locks inside the lid; and 3) it comes with a set of INSTRUCTIONS. Why would you need a set of instructions for a teapot? Well... I really don't know, but I think it says a lot about the care that went into designing this model. Actually, they do give some helpful cleaning tips.

The only negatives are that it leaks a bit out of the spout and down the side if you pour at too steep (no pun intended) an angle, and it takes a few rinsings to get the leaves out whether you use the steeper or not (since both have narrower tops than insides).

All in all, paired with an electric tea kettle, this is a great investment if you enjoy a good cup of tea!

How to Clean
I have a Chef'n Pepper Ball, and am so pleased with it that I gave several of them for Christmas gifts. Everyone has told me now much they enjoy using it.
However, one of the recipients accidently dropped his in his bowl of soup, and asked me to find out how to clean it. Is it possible to take it apart to clean?.

please pass the pepper ball
One-handed freshly ground pepper--what could be better? The grind is easily adjustable, the sliding slot makes for easy refills, and the pepper ball is stylish to boot! One suggestion for the softer green peppercorns: mix a few of the harder black corns in with the green for more efficient and productive grinding (give the grinder something to latch onto)....

Would you like Pepper?
Besides being a sleek addition to the spice rack, the Chef'n salt-n-pepper ball jr. are handy little tools in the kitchen and beyond. Pepper oils diminish after 20 to 30 minutes after being ground, so it makes since to grind fresh pepper when cooking or dining. The pepper ball makes it easy to stir with one hand and grind specialty peppers into the mix with the other. What a great gift idea for a friend who loves to cook or for those that love to eat. They can easily slip into a lunchbox, picnic basket, or travel bag. I personally love using this little gem because of the easy grip and grind technique. Check it out for yourself.

Get giant store bought-type muffins at home!
After wanting a jumbo muffin pan for years, I finally received one as a wedding shower gift, and I love it! You can use this pan with standard muffin recipes that make a dozen small muffins; you'll just get six large muffins instead. With a bit longer cooking time than for smaller muffins, this muffin pan cooked my jumbo muffins to perfection: golden brown and evenly cooked throughout. Plus, it was completely non-stick, so getting the muffins out of the pan--even sticky blueberry-packed ones--wasn't a problem, and clean up was a breeze. A highly recommended item!

Ever wanted to make restaurant muffins at home?
This is the product for you! Right after I got it, I couldn't wait to try it, so I ran to the store and bought muffin mix. I used two regular-sized boxes of apple cinnamon muffin mix and got six large muffins with nice domed tops. It took about twice as long for the muffins to bake but they were delicious. Since then I have used this probably every other week for bran muffins, oat bran muffins, etc. It's great if you have overnight guests, in the morning you can serve them freshly-baked restaurant-sized muffins and it's pretty impressive. I highly recommend this item!

Jumbo Muffin Pan
This is an excellent product. Muffins are baked thoroughly and consistently throughout all of the cavities. The muffins are huge, just like gourmet bake shops. Clean up is a snap.

Must have for the cookie baker
My dad gave me a couple of these baking sheets many years ago. Ever since then I have never use another brand. I now own six of these sheets. You never have to worry about the quality of the end product. The browning is always even and if you burn something you only have yourself to blame!

Much better for cookies than nonstick sheets
After a lifetime of nonstick baking sheets, I was persuaded to try this basic metal jelly roll pan with a parchment liner instead. The difference is incredible! It may be called a "jelly roll" pan, but I can bake upwards of a dozen cookies on it and rarely burn one. With the old nonstick sheets (of which I tried and discarded several brands over the years)the burn rate was more like 25-50%. Other uses for this sheet are under other open dishes, like casseroles and pies, for catching the drips and runovers -- the raised sides make this possible.

Using a sheet of parchment paper or a silicone mat, cleanup is a snap. Once in a while it doesn't hurt to handwash to remove accumulated residue on the edges, but it takes a lot of baking before that becomes an issue.

This pan will occasionally warp at the higher temperatures, but always snaps back as it cools down. I don't think I've come across a baking sheet yet that hasn't done that at one time or another, so it probably just comes with the territory.

It looks like I am done with forever replacing my scratched cookie sheets!

WOW!
nothing beats the basics! growing up in the nonstick world i'm not sure why they ever made nonstick sheet pans. this was my first basic and i have to say WOW! the browning is wayyyyyy better than those dark nonsticks and with the use of parchment i didn't have to wash the pan after every batch. a big bonus was the clean up, i've had it for 6 months and only had to use an SOS (steel wool kind) twice to clean it just as to remove the oily residue sheet pans usually get after a few months of use. when this build up happened before i'd just throw it out because you can't scour a nonstick, this accually looks better after a good SOS scrubing!
