I gave these (along with other "fortune cookie" pieces) as a housewarming gift to a young, fun, athletic, and artistic couple who had just purchased their first home. Although I knew they would appreciate any gift (it's the thought that counts), I was hoping to find one that would fit their taste and their needs. Not only were they thankful and appreciative, they exclaimed them to be a "perfect" choice. Their cupboards were emptied, and these became the dishes for everyday, as well as for entertaining. The lettering ("nourish your soul") is soft and muted, and a beautiful statement. The shape of the bowl is contemporary, while the overall look is classic and elegant. The bowls are nicely rounded, are actually shaped like a 'bowl', and are easy to hold. They are large, but not overwhelming. The bowls are "just right", whether you're eating cereal, or soup. The young man, who is known for enjoying his morning cereal, remarked that he loves the size of the bowl. He says that now he's down to 2 bowls of cereal in the morning, instead of his usual 2-1/2 or 3 :o) I have been to their home for dinner, and am so pleased with these dishes that I'm trying to think of an excuse to buy some for myself! Wonderful quality, form, and function, for a great price.

Wow what a great set of dishes, especially for the price. I really didn't expect for it to be such a high quality set, I was just looking for something inexpensive so that I wouldn't have to use grandma's heirloom china everyday (before I bought this that was all I had). And then the box came from Amazon.com (super-fast supersaver shipping, very impressive for a first time buyer), and out came these sturdy, lovely dishes. The raised circle is a perfect place to hold them as you wash them so they don't slip from your hands, the snappy little messages would brighten any day, and they are weighty enough to inspire confidence in even the clumsiest of souls such as myself. The glaze on each and every piece seems stout, flawless and pristine, and the understated yet verbally colorful design is a perfect complement to your gourmet presentations. I would recommend this set to any young or young-at-heart person wanting a cheery, dependable set of everyday dishes, especially the recent school grad needing a starter set that will last without the costly financial investment.

I am very pleased with their size, weight and design. They are wonderful for cereal, pasta, soup - just about anything. They don't have an annoying rim and are deep, heavy, thick and very well made. I highly recommend these bowls for anyone that doesn't like their food spilling out the sides of their dish.

I love the size, weight, design, functionality of this bowl. Looks great on the table, and cleans and stores easily. A great serving piece for vegetables, side dishes, fruit.

I recently ordered 2 of these bowls through Amazon.com, and they arrived in perfect condition. I absolutely love them! The scalloped edges are simple, yet elegant, and are a wonderful compliment to the Filigree dishes.

In the last few months I have purchased the whole line of Pfaltzgraff Filigree dishes. Ilove this bowl as much as the whole line. It is very simple and practical, yet quite pretty. It is very sturdy and holds quite a bit. I purchased these dishes because I love to change colors in the kitchen and with this simple design you can really dress it up or play it down, depending on your placemats, napkins, silverware and table cloth. When purchasing through Amazon.com you can get a great price too.

What can I say? Practical, functional, and nice to look at.

I just purchase a new home and wanted new drinkware, I saw these glasses at Amazon and was delighted. I purchase them because I was tired of the plain clear drinkware. I wanted to put some color and design into my drink. When they arrive (earlier than expected) I was so amazed they are so nice, and the color is so bright. They are heavy and seem to take a liking and keep on ticking. One suggestion wash by hand! They are the perfect glass for guest.

I received two of the bowls FREE with my purchase of two 16 piece Naturewood sets from Amazon (I really like free stuff and isn't Amazon great?). My wife was extremely pleased, as am I with these bowls. They are large enough for salads or almost anything else that you would want to serve up. They look fabulous with the dinner and salad plates. No Naturewood set is complete without at least one on the table.

Absolutely lovely and country charming with the added wonderful factor of "from oven/microwave to table!" Very pleasing.

We've had this set for 3 years and they are still beautiful & in their original shapes, even after scooping ice cream! ha-ha. They are strong, a good weight to them and look very classy, with everyday or semi-formal dishes. The satin finish handles are unique as well.

I recently purchased this set. My home decor is country so it blends nicely. After 25 years of mixed pieces this set was a real treat. My husband likes the solid feel. I love the pewter like look and feel. This set can have a formal or an informal look to it depending on your dishes.
All our friends are commenting on how beautiful it is and want to know the brand and pattern. I love it and would recommend it to anyone!

I had been looking everywhere for flatware that didn't look like what everyone else has. When I saw Pfaltzgraff Satin Providence, I knew this was the set for my boyfriend and me. He is an architect (= VERY PICKY!) and I knew even he would love it. I had looked at so many different patterns that they all started to look alike. If you have been looking for a while, then you probably know what I mean. When I came across this set, it really stood out. I had purchased Pfaltzgraff dinnerware and was pleased with the quality, so I didn't hesitate to buy their flatware.

The last set of flatware I owned bent into some bizarre shapes after washing and using the pieces for a couple of years. I don't have to worry about that with the Pfaltzgraff set-it is incredibly sturdy. The design, with the satin finish on the inlaid part of the handle complements the shiny silver beautifully. It gives it a really unique look, and is not your typical looking stainless flatware. I think that is the best part of the design, but I also like the ridged pattern that is at the top of each handle, and the beveled ends. What's also nice is that it's perfect for everyday use, but it's also elegant enough to use for a dinner party. The hostess set that comes with the 45-piece set is also fantastic looking. It would make a beautiful housewarming or wedding gift if you can bear to give it away!

Besides the fact that I'm terrible about putting things away for the "season", I use these plates all year long! I especially like the mugs - I feel they keep my coffee warmer a lot longer than a normal mug and they're nice and heavy and solid feeling. Plus the bears really cheer me up in the morning!

I bought this for my sister for her birthday. She complimented me several times and everyone that came over raved about these dishes. I have never in my life received so many compliments over a birthday gift. They were very impressed with the quality. I haven't seen them myself as of yet but I can tell you that this was one birthday gift that will stay in memory.

In true Pfaltzgraff tradition, this set does not fail to delight the eye as well as the pocketbook! The bowls are generous - not the dainty bowls so often seen with other dinnerware sets, and also included are nicely sized mugs - just perfect for coffee or hot cocoa. The design makes it perfect not only for Christmas, but for use all through the winter months. Also, since the design is available in open stock, there are numerous pieces that can be added to your Snow Bear collection. And the Amazon price for this set simply can't be beaten !!

I recieved by Presto sharpener yesterday and it turned my knives back to like new again. Thank you Target and Presto, my Henkels are sharp again.

I look at the gold box every day, and saw this sharpener on sale. I already own it...purchased it locally, not from Amazon, and it cost me more than the gold box price. It does an amazing job on sharpening knives. I have an older set of Chicago cutlery, and it sharpens them razor sharp whenever I use it.....which my wife says it not often enough!! I sharpened our knives the day before Thanksgiving, and the bird practically carved itself. It's also very easy to use, and has a foolproof design. I recommend it highly.

This is a wonderfull purchase. I love to cook and sharp knives are essential. Originally I bought it with the intention of putting it with my husband's Christmas gift stash so he could use it for sharpening fishing knives. However, after getting a good look at my own kitchen knives, I cracked it open and started sharpening. It is easy to use, and does a great job. Incidentally, I have two sets of the Henkels knives and just bought a set of Calphalon. All are wonderful. The Henkles are going on ten years of solid use and even when dull did a respectable job. Now they are sharp and ready for more good things to come out of the kitchen. Definately worth checking out. Oh, I bought mine (sharpener) on clearance too, gotta hit those clearance end caps Target devotees!

If you love eating shrimp, lobster or crab and want to have butter to dip in the delicasies, this is a good choice. Uses inexpensive tea light candles.

First saw these at a restaurant and thought it

These work well and keep the butter nice and warm while adding a nice touch to the presentation. I use them often and love them. The ramekins are good for other uses as well.

This set of "butter warmers" are an excellent way to serve resturant style dinners in the comfort of your own home. Whether it is butter sauce for crab legs or lobster or warm chocolate sauce for ice cream or cheesecake, you can't beat this set. The dishes are large enough to handle a quantity needed for dinner. My husband has found that they are a great accessory for his hot air popcorn popper. The prices is extrememly reasonable. I even found a matching fondue set to finish this display. Once you use these you will wonder how you ever made it without them. The tea light refills are very afforable and more versatile that sterno. I have 2 sets and plan to order more before the holidays. I can't wait to make my holiday eggs benedict for the family and use these warmers for the holandaise sause. No more re-heating butters and sauces in the middle of the meal.

I miss my whole house water filter now that I'm renting. But the PUR works very well. It was a little bit of a challenge getting the filter onto the faucet -- especially if you have big fingers. Careful not to strip the threads or you'll be buying a new faucet. Tighten as much as you can with your fingers and use plyers for the rest. The water tastes great, and now that I have to make ice with trays again, even the ice pops out easier than using regular water. My imagination? I still would like to send the water out someday to get it tested to see if this thing works like the water tastes -- says the "prove it to me" side.

I had a Pur Plus water filtration system, but it developed a leak. The Pur company, with absolutely no hassles, sent me a new Ultimate faucet mount water filtration system. I found out that the Plus filter and the Ultimate filter are exactly the same shape and size. So if you are looking for a replacement filter for your Pur Plus you can use an Ultimate filter!

I HAVE USED THE PUR FAUCET FILTER FOR A FEW YEARS, AND FIND
IT WONDERFUL. IT REMOVES ALL THE BAD TASTE,AND MAKES THE WATER
TASTE AS GOOD IF NOT BETTER THAN BOTTLED WATER.

I bought this set because of the price. I had NOTHING for my home and needed something. I wasn't just going to settle for anything because I didn't want to waste my hard earned cash.

I saw this set in the storage, the price wasn't bad, so I picked it up. I love it.

The square pan is small and great for lasagna.
The rectangle pan is great for cakes.
The pie pan is great for pie or quiche.
The measuring cup...self explanitory. :c)
The casserole dish...TBA.

I'm really glad I saw this set and decided to pick it up. I now have a great set for bakeware.

I received this starter set as a gift years ago (it also included 4 bonus custard dishes), and I find myself reaching for the various pieces again and again. I love making baked goods in the square dish--it's the perfect size, and the finished goodies never stick! The lidded casserole is perfect for cooking single-dish dinners in the oven, and the rectangular dish is my lasagna staple. The pie plate and measuring cup have also gotten regular use, as I bake frequently. One of the best things about these pieces is that clean-up is a breeze; even baked off foods come off easily without scrubbing. The entire set still looks just as good as it did when it was brand new--highly recommended!

All the items in this set are very useful for the new cook and are beloved by the experienced cook who will still have them long after they are purchased.

My grandmother introduced me to Pyrex and she always made her famous apple pie in the glass pie dishes. They brown the pie crust just enough and I have wonderful memories of seeing the pie dish sitting on her counter with the pie still steaming and scenting the kitchen with the heavenly scent of apples and cinnamon.

This is a set you can use for years and years! The measuring cup is a nice bonus and you can add it to your regular three piece glass measuring cup set to use as an extra cup.

I would like to see the pie dishes sold separately, are they? You need at least two if you are a serious baker.
