NEWS FLASH: These are nothing more than an excuse for Riedel to sell you 2 CURVED GLASS TUMBLERS for $18. A trip to any home store will yield similarly-shaped glasses for a couple of dollars. Sure, undiscriminating wine drinkers used to (some still do) drink their cheap wine out of plain old glasses, but does that mean you should? Remember that one of the reasons a wineglass has a stem is to prevent your hand from touching the bowl and heating the wine well above room temperature. If Riedel is truly a "connoisseur company" they are undoubtedly aware of this but for some reason (ka-ching!) it doesn't bother them. Heck, if I were making $17.75 in profit from 25 cents worth of glass I suppose it wouldn't bother me much either...

I wasn't sure what I'd think of these glasses, but I love 'em! Granted, they do look a bit like a big bud vase, but I really enjoy using them for a casual glass (or two...) of wine at home. I also like the Sauvignon Blanc glasses that are quite a bit smaller. All in all, a great purchase.

These tumblers are actually a throwback to the way people used to drink wine - in a goblet (and without a stem). But being Riedels, these have a timeless elegance and unmistakable shape that can only come from the company that all but revolutionized the art of wine tasting and enjoyment. For an urban wine lover, with limited space, these were the perfect choice for me. And I wasn't a believer before, but I believe it now - once you smell, taste, and drink wine out of a Riedel, there is no going back to anything else. It does for wine what CD's did for music or HD did for TV. And since shiraz and syrah are quickly becoming the new darlings of the red wine world, what better way to enjoy them than in glasses specifically designed for them. These only enhance the spice and berry aromas and flavors. And without a stem, they are quite a conversation piece.

This travel mug is horrible. I bought it two weeks ago and it drips continuously. Stay away from it.

I've been using my tumbler regularly for almost a year. It DOESN'T drip, and the sip opening is large enough to get a good swallow, but small enough to protect you and your car if you hit a bump. It also keeps the contents VERY hot for quite a while. The coffee stays hot for more than an hour (I'm a slow sipper).

P.S. I recommend that you wash it by hand. I suspect that most problems with dripping come from washing it, or any of these products, in a dishwasher (the extended contact with very hot dishwasher water, the harsh detergents, and the very hot drying cycle will misshape the cap, causing a poor seal).

I've had 2 of these Travel Mugs for several years without any problems. My coffee stays hot for 3 hours and the wrap grip makes the travel mug easy to hold without a handle. Coffee mugs with handles don't appeal to me. The handle gets in the way for use in many car cup holders.
I suspect the first reviewer was unlucky enough to get a mug with a bad seal or he let the o-ring slip out of it's proper position. I've never had a leakage problem unless you count the times I unwittingly try to drink with the top oriented the wrong way :) Perhaps having a cup handle to orient the cup properly is not such a bad idea afterall.....

Looks nice but don't function very well. No matter how I screw on the tops, they leak. Don't waste your money, even the "stainless steel" used to make it is very low grade and thin-walled.

I don't like getting stuck having to return items so I might just use it as a flower vase and learn from my mistake.

At first, I thought that I was unlucky and I got one that leaked. The trick is to not fill it all the way up. Just fill it to the lower metal lip inside the opening. It has not leaked since and I am quite happy with it.

This stainless-steel thermos bottle turned out to be better than I expected. It keeps cold liquids cold and hot beverages hot for most of the workday (with prechilling and preheating). It seems sturdy. The stopper is leak-proof, if you tighten it properly. Pouring is easy without removing the stopper. It is very light and short, but holds a decent amount. The strap is well made, secure, and easy to use to carry the bottle on your shoulder. Highly recommended!

Amazon kept me hanging 2 months on my orders and than cancelled them.

I threw out all of my old tupperware cups that my kids were using and switched to a supply of Fiestaware ceramic cups. Now that my kids are all over 5, we don't need all that ugly plastic. These are durable and attractive. A range of colors lets them keep track of which cup is theirs. Plus, it matches my other dinnerware. It's the perfect size for them. When they get older and need a bigger glass, these are perfect for juice.

I have always heard GREAT things about Nissan products (or maybe I assumed they were great because they are more expensive than even Starbucks products). However, I am very disappointed with this products. It doesn't keep the liquids hot, even after I preheat it with HOT water. Sad, but true. Also, the lid leaks. Save your money and buy any other kind of insulated mug. This is not worth the money.

I was duped into buying this mug, thinking it had a leak-proof, or at least mostly non-leak lid. In fact, there are better lids on cheap plastic mugs I have used. Make sure you purchase the Nissan mug that specifically states that it is leak-proof, and has a 6-hour capacity (this one will keep beverages hot or cold for only 1-hour). One more thing... it smells funny.

I've had this cup for at least 5 years.

Good points: Well balanced handle which feels go in my hand and allows me to carry empty by sticking the handle in my pocket. Easy to open and close to fill and to drink. You can peel the label off so you don't go around advertising.

Weaknesses: Smell seemed to accumulate, particularly after I used it for chai tea. There's an internal gasket on the inside near the top which harbors gunk and smells. Top threads starting to strip, but I've had it for eons.

I haven't found better yet, but I'm looking.

I love coffee made with the French press method, so I thought this travel press would be great. It was for 3 days. The lid's threads were stripped in 3 days.

This press worked great, but only for about a month. After that the press disc would not stay attached to the end of the plunger when I was pressing...

Similar to a French Press, you put some coffee or tea in the bottom of the mug, add water, screw the cap on, wait for your beverage to steep, and push the plunger down to trap the coffee grinds/tea at the bottom of the mug. It keeps beverages hot and fits in my car's cup holder. The bottom is padded with rubber to prevent sliding. Despite the price, it's definitely a mug I'd buy again.

I got one for Christmas too. The controls on the first one didn't work. The whole bottom began melting. I caught it before it caught fire when I noticed a smoky smell. I took the first back and got another. The second one worked one time and then quit.

I recently received this item for Christmas....the first one I got did not work at all...the second one stopped working after three uses...I am currently using a third one and it does not control the temperature at all. It is very dangerous since the temperature on the coffee just keeps getting hotter and hotter. I almost burned myself on it today. I will be returning this item and will not try a fourth one. Three strikes and you're out! I would not recommend this item to anyone. It does not work properly and is very, very dangerous and could cause serious injury. I am very disappointed in its performance.

Beautiful product but unfortunately the glass is not dyed.

I scraped a bit hard to get the label off the glass and I peeled off the color too! It is covered by a thin colored cellophane! Curiously I have been unable to find a description of the product in the manufacturers web www.leonardo.de.

I decided to purchase this travel mug because of the Starbucks reputation for quality. However, this is one of the cheapest travel mugs I have used. The rubber grip came apart and fell off the mug after the first wash -- I didn't even get to use it. I am returning it.

There are better travel coffee mugs for less money out there. Don't waste your time with this one. It costs too much money to fall apart before it can even be used.
