Wahl Trimmers Homepro 15 Piece Haircutting Kit

    Versatile product
I've owned my Wahl 15 piece trimmer for over 7 years (same model as above) and loved it. The multi-position cutting blade is one of the handier features to use to make close shave cuts on necklines or around ears. I also like the attachments for length. I found that I only use the 1/2", 1/4" and the two ear ones for most jobs, so it's not really worth it to me to buy the model with more attachements.

My trimmer has been dropped numerous times on the floor and held up wonderfully, so it is a durable product. However, recently my dog caught his leg in the power cord and it fell with great force on to a tiled floor and cracked the case significantly, so for safety's sake, I'll be buying another trimmer soon.

I use my trimmer on both my dog and husband (although I make sure to clean it well in between cuts!) and it probably gets used about 12-15 times a year.

Very versatile and well worth the money!

    spa like relief
I got this for my husband and used it myself after 5 miles of walking created a blister on my toe. I added mineral salts and thought I was at the spa. The unit heated the water quickly and kept it at a comfortable temperature. There was some splashing, but the towel I placed under the unit, caught the errant water and served to dry my feet. I just wish the storage compartment would hold all the extra attachments.

    IT IS A MACHINE POEPLE!!
I'm going to start out by saying that this IS a good product. It has acquired some poor reviews, but in my opinion reviewers expectations might have been a bit high. This IS a machine; it is not a direct replacement for your better half rubbing your feet nor does it do miracle work. After reading many many reviews they all seem to have the same conditions. Yes it does make noise not excessive like many suggest and certainly not as loud as a vacuum cleaner.

The noise in our home was not a concern and was able to be overlooked. Any machine which makes bubbles needs a pump; pumps are not silent and if you find a silent one you are for sure in a different price range.

We filled our unit to the max line and used it with the roller attachments and did move our feet around while in bubble mode. This unit uses water and if you think you're not going to get a drop on the floor your nuts. We used a towel underneath the unit and all "flood" worries were gone away.

The incorporated water heater does an excellent job at keeping hot water hot and warm water warm, if your intentions are to use this machine to heat up your water for tea or coffee you'll be disappointed. We filled the machine with hot water and turned everything on including bubbles, after 10 - 15 minutes there was no noticeable drop in water temperature nor was an increase in temperature felt. If you are using HOT water the infrared heater seams negligible. Maybe it does more if your feet aren't so hot to begin with.

As mentioned before, water splashing, noise, and not so great heaters plague all of these "foot spa" type machines. I would have given this a 4.5 star rating but gave it 5 because it doesn't deserve all the previous bad reviews. IT IS A MACHINE PEOPLE! And costs less than one good family dinner out, stop being so picky and just enjoy it. And no I am not on the sales marketing team. :-)

    feels great
I wait tables for up to ten hours a day or more and I decided to give this a try. I really like it. It feels nice and works best when you start with very warm water. It is a little loud, but not too bad. It isn't a miracle machine, but it is very worth the money and I highly recommend it to anyone who is on their feet all day.

I am pleased with this product overall....
I received this for Christmas, and I first used it without the attachments, so I felt it was nothing special. I also did not like the fact that it does not have a line to let you know how much water to put inside. When you turn the unit on and the bubbles start if it has too much water it makes a mess.

Then I got smart and decided to pull out the accessories. The pumice stone is nice. When you use your foot to apply pressure to the stone it starts to spin by itself, all of the attachments are motorized. The infrared light was relaxing. Overall I like the product, the manufacturer could make some improvements, lower the volume a little and it would have received 5 stars.

    BLISS!!
My husband just bought this spa for my birthday and I am sooooo addicted to it already! I wear high heals a lot for my new job and there is nothing in the world like coming home to soak my feet in this! You fill it with warm water and a heater on the bottom keeps the water the same temperature while in use. You can choose between three options on the control dial. 1. Heat/Infrared/Massage 2. Heat/Infrared/Massage/Bubbles (my personal favorite) 3. Heat/Bubbles. The infrared is the lighted red area on the center console where you can place your foot to receive hot, deep and penetrating direct treatment. I usually rest my heels on it for a few minutes at a time. Above the infrared heat is a little pedicure station. You place a little attachment on the opening and with the pressure of your foot...it spins. There are three attachments...a foot brush, a pumice stone, and a nubby massager. (Refer to the picture to see where the pedicure station is located). The bottom of this foot spa is very nubby...it has lots of acupressure points. Of course you can always lift out the bottom sections and replace them with foot rollers!! Now honestly, doesn't this sound like heaven? My husband is a marathon runner and he uses it too. So guys, this is great for after a gym workout or for an injury. I love mine because I have an old ankle/foot injury and this really soothes the pain after being on my feet all day. I seriously wish we had a ten star rating; this one deserves it. TIP: I also bought Homedics Paraffin spa. I bought the big one with enough room for feet and hands. I think if you really want to have a home salon...these two products together are perfect. I believe HoMedics is the best brand of foot spas. I asked my friend who's a nurse and she told me HoMedics is doctor recommended. So beware of cheap imitations. I looked at all of them and this one was suggested to me as the best. I'll review the Paraffin Spa soon...

A spa treat for tired worn out feet!
This is a pampering spa for your tired, aching feet. There are a number of treatment options to soothe and restore your feet. You can fill the spa with warm water and enjoy a warm calming hydrotherapy session, or turn on the vibration, vibration plus heat, or vibration plus heat and jet-action bubbles.

Then, for a rejuvenating pre-pedicure soak, you can use the scrub brush, pumice stone or all-purpose massager to pamper your feet to tootsie bliss.

The perfect gift for anyone in the family. We gave one to my mother-in-law last Christmas and she says she uses it all the time. This is the perfect winter retreat for your feet!

    needs a longer cord!
I bought this nail care kit after trying and returning other brands. This one is just O.K. and unfortunately it's the best one I've tried. (email me about the other 5 I tried if you have questions)

1.GOOD FEATURES: It looks cool. The handle has two speeds. I love the light touch nail dryer (refer to picture). The two tiny tiny cones are fabulous for shaping up around your nail bed. The filing disks are easy to use, once you've had practice. The large filing/grinding cone is awesome for grinding away rough skin. Great price!

2.BAD FEATURES: It's noisy. The buffing head does not work. I got sick of the hassle of changing heads all the time. The case is hard to open.

So you probably want to know why I still think this one is a keeper. Well, I file my natural nails now manually because the kit is so slow, taking up to an hour, BUT...this is the only kit I tried that truly works on acrylic nails! Ever try those drug store nail kits and you have to file down the acrylic for hours? This machine does all that in seconds! No damage occurs from this kind of use. So save money from expensive manicures and do it yourself! The HoMedics nail spa will pay for itself in one use. Just please get an extention cord! You don't need to be sitting next to the wall like I did when I first used it.

    Super Results
I would never have bought this for myself; my mother-in-law got it for me for Christmas. I was skeptical and didn't even take it out of the packaging for a while. I don't have artificial nails and consider myself to be pretty low maintainence in the beauty department. Anyway, I decided that I should give it a whirl and I have to admit that it works very well. If you're just using it on your natural nails, it does shape, file, and buff effectively and only takes a few minutes. It is very easy to use and has 2 speeds so that you can file quickly or more slowly. I've always had okay nails - no major problems, but certainly nothing spectacular. After using this manicure kit, my nails are all equal in length/shaped the same and tend to break and chip much less. I haven't had a nail break for months and I haven't used any polish during that whole time. It also does a great job of pushing back your cuticle. If you're looking for an easy way to get better looking nails, give this kit a try! PS. It does need a longer cord - get a short extension to go with it!

this has good value for the cost
I love this Homedics manicure set, model MAN-300! I have natural nails and do use nail polish occasionally. Since I got this manicure set, I have used it frequently - much to my surprise. An extension cord is necessary because I'm usually sitting at a table or on the sofa when using the manicure set. Before, I'm a little embarrassed to say, I never kept up with my own manicures often enough and now with this machine, my hands and feet are now in the best condition ever because this machine is so easy to use and is effective. And the big filer attachment is great - I'm removing callouses on my feet and it's amazing to feel them so soft. About that other reviewer that said it was hard for that person to insert the attachments - I tried forcing them for the first minute, too, and then realized it only needs to be gently turned in place and it'll go in securely with a solid click. By the way, I now am using fingernail polish more often as my hands look so good these days (I'm filing off some ever-so-slightly unsmooth skin there, too). And I'm proud of the condition of my feet.

    Good product for the money
My husband bought me this massager for my birthday. I'm an elementary school teacher, and my feet are always tired and sore.

In response to a few other reviews here, I must admit that the machine doesn't heat as much as I'd like, and the cord is about a foot too short, but I really do consider this a good value for the price.

The foot pad area is large enough to accommodate feet even bigger than mine (!), and the massager, especially when set on high, hits all the right sopt, just on the bottom of the arch, and that sore spot beneath the toes. After a good 15 minutes of "regular" massage, I like to curl my toes under or contort my feet sideways, to get even more coverage!

No, this isn't a miracle cure for tired feet. But it's a nice, relaxing end to a hard day. I recommend this product to anyone with realistic expectations of its benefits, but who still is willing to take a chance on a nice, relaxing product.

No hassle foot endulgence for under $20!!!
I got this item because although I enjoy the water foot massage units, who wants to do all that work when you come home from a long day on your feet?! So I decided on this one. I love it!! The vibrations relax your feet, and it requires no work and no clean up like the water versions. Only negative is the infared lights could be hotter. They do not provide much heat. But all in all for something under $20, with no work, it keeps my feet happy!

No more cold feet in the winter!
If you are looking for a dual purpose item, this will serve you well as a food massager and foot warmer. When I first placed this under my desk, it rattled around a bit and scared my cat, who ran terrified down the hall. But, don't fear...once you place a towel or carpet under the unit, it is fine and very quite. You just hear a gentle hum.

You will be amazed at how light your legs feel after just a few minutes. All the controls can be turned on and off with your toes! That alone is a great feature. This unit has special "Toe-Tap" features. You can turn on the lo/hi vibration intensity button with your big toe of your left foot. The Heat on/off button can be pressed with your right big toe and then the massage on/off button is easy to turn on with your heel. You can also turn the lo/hi and on/off button with your heel

The unit feels warmer when you turn the massage function off and could be used in those cold days of winter when you just don't feel like wearing slippers. Once you turn off the infrared heat function, you will still feel the heat for quite a while.

The massage platform has raised accunodles (raised bumps in the plastic) for the stimulation of the soles of your feet.

The instructions recommend only using this unit for about 15 minutes or less. I found 3 minutes was a good amount of time and produced the desired light leg feeling. This is a unit you use while seated and standing on it can cause damage. They also recommend using the unit with "socked feet" and never with shoes.

The perfect gift for anyone who sits at their desk for most of the day or for those friends who stand all day and just want to come home, sit on the couch and relax.

This unit will fit nicely under your bed (or some couches) or you might just want to keep it permanently under your desk! That is where my "Foot Pro" is going to live.

    great product, thoughtless shipping
The price and quality of this product is outstanding, though I have to say that in this season of "surprises", the company that shipped my product put little to NO thought into their method.
My HoMedics BMS-10H Body Masseur 10-Motor Back Massager with Heat HoMedics, arrived by my front door with a packing slip and shipping label slapped onto the outside of the product packaging. No, there was no brown cardboard box surrounding it. Just the product box. Advertising to everybody, even the recipient of the gift, what was in the package. :o(

    The best home massage ever....
This wonderful product has relieved my husband from his migraines and stiff necks, relaxes me after a full day home with two small kids, and the kids love to lay down on it watching TV.....it even keeps them still for a while. I am purchasing one for my 80 year old grandma, she loved it....

    One word...YUMMY
Of course this can not compare to a real life massage but it works well for instant relief. I enjoyed the ability to turn on and off areas to focus on just the sore parts. It heats up fast and there is a built in timer. The heat stays on for another ten minutes after the vibrators stop. The only thing I don't like is the automatic shut off but I am sure there is safty reasons for it...shrug

I found this a good buy
The razor is a bit louder than my previous electric razor, but this unit has more options than what I had been using such as three settings for short (stubble), short & long (2 or more days since shaving last), and long hair growth. Another feature I liked was that the foil heads on the unit move independently of one another--giving you a better chance getting at those odd-shaped places like the knee and ankle areas. No electric razor I've tried gives the same close shave as using a blade razor (hence 4/5 stars), but I'll take slightly less closeness over the irritation and razor rash from a blade shave any time!

    Amazon Sleazy Practices`
Beware of so-called Amazon rebates. They are phony and will never materialize. I am still waiting after three months for my $50 rebate in Kitchen & Houseware. Amazon now refuses to reply.
    Sleazy.

A great shave...once you get used to it
I recently received this shaver as a gift--and yes, it was on my list. Whatever the givers paid for it, it was worth it! I haven't cut my legs in weeks, as I used to do with my old manual razor--that one that many women have, y'know, named after a goddess, *hint hint*. I'm waiting for that drop of blood to be shed, but this little wonder doesn't seem to want to hurt me! Many people just dive into using this razor without reading the instruction manual--stupid move! If you read it properly, it tells you to give it a couple of weeks for your skin/hair to get used to it. It took me about a week, and my legs are SO smooth! It's never been so easy to shave. I've tried it both wet and dry, and it's very effective both ways, but it's more effective wet with a bit of shave gel. Try it out--Remington gives you a 30 day "no questions asked" $$$ back guarantee. You really can't lose...and you'll save money in the long run with this little baby! Buy it, read the instructions, try it, treat it well, and it'll give you great results, and maybe even make you look forward to shaving. Scary thought, eh?

    dont waste your time...or $$
I had read reviews of this straightener on the site, hoping it would do the job of straightening my extremely curly and long hair in a short amount of time, and purchased it. I was very wrong. It takes a while to heat up, and once it is heated up, it doesn't straighten my hair. I have to go over the same 1-inch section of hair about 30 times to get it anywhere near straight. Don't waste your time or money on this straightener. It's not worth it. period.

    Worked perfect...for a while
This is the first straightening iron that I have ever had. One day, it just stopped working. I tried and tried to get it too start working again...but I couldnt. I was so happy with it and it just broke down on me. What it does is the light flickers and it stops heating up. My advice is to buy a slightly more expensive one, and it will be worth it because you can count on it. I mean, it worked great, but after a while it stopped and its a waste of money!!!

    Great for the Money!
I have had my straightner for about 6 months or so now, and it still works great. I have been extremely happy with it. I don't use it every day, about 3 times a week or so. I have not had any trouble with it. I did buy mine at Walmart, and it was only $16-17, slightly cheaper. I also have extremely frizzy hair, and it still works GREAT!

    SLOW DELIVERY
I just ordered it on Sep 5.
But i didn't receive it after 14 days it promised.
    It's Sep 30!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The Good and The Bad and the Broken
The brushing unit itself is of good quality and works well.
Its a little slow for my tast but newer faster units are already out.

The Oral Irrigator or what have you, just stinks, mine wouldnt shut off for about a week at one time, leaving me to leave it unpluged. I figure the switch is bad.

Anyway the weak pressure couldnt blow anything off your teeth,
unless your riddled with serious gum disease you will hardly feel it after the first uses.
Its why i bring it down to only 3 stars.

Get just the brush alone, with a differnt water system if youd desire one.

    FANTASTIC and unique!
This plaque remover and oral irrigator set is INSANE! My teeth have never felt so pristine--even during my boiling water and baking soda phase.

After a good one-hour session with my new Braun Oral-B OC15525X 3D Plaque Remover and Oxy Jet Oral Irrigator Set, it's to the point where I don't want to use my teeth for eating anymore.

(Fun wordplay for all the lovers of language out there: "My teeth are now completely WHITE, whereas they used to look slightly BRAUN!") :)

    Panasonic ER389
Six position, cordless beard trimmer. Great product for about 2+ years, until the battery stopped holding a charge. No replacement parts could be found. Typical Panasonic product: just outlived its warranty.

I should have stuck with this one...
So here's the deal: I owned an Panasonic ER389K for about two years and it worked great. Then the battery died and it is not replacable. I thought, "Forget this, I'm getting a dual mode trimmer." I ordered the Remington MB40. Well actually two. One of the pins that holds on the depth gauge broke off even before I got to use the first one. It turns out that if the depth is set to "0" then there is at least a reduced possibility of breaking these pins. Then I got the second one, gingerly handled the depth gauge as if it might break, charged it up and began trimming. I was immediately impressed with the power. I was not impressed with how close of a trim I could get. But I discovered that if I used the mustache trimmer (about 1/2" wide) I could get as close a trim as I got with the Panasonic. Very tedious. After a couple of weeks of this I ordered a new Panasonic. It's less expensive, the depth gauge will not break, I can get a much closer trim, the charger is built in, it's smaller, it's much simpler to use, and loads quieter. THAT'S 7 THINGS BETTER! I decided that I could do without the corded feature - I don't like cords anyway.
I don't believe that there are any trimmers that are water proof - that would be a useful feature for cleaning.

    Wow!
I've owned two Norelco beard trimmers. One lasted three years and wasn't fixable when it broke. The other lasted almost 2 years, was noisy and didn't do a nice job trimming, or shaping. This trimmer is excellent. It's compact, quiet, trims uniformly and can trim closely to the skin when shaping my beard. I was also pleased to see that the blades are replaceable. The built in plug for charging is very convenient. I'm very pleased with this product and highly recommend it.
