Worst shaver ever made for women
My well meaning husband purchased this shaver for my birthday. After using it a few times for one hour on each leg to get a semi-smooth look, I thought it was a major waste of time and money. My beef isn't just with the shaver, it's with the ridiculous wall/outlet charger. Nevermind trying to plug in anything under it as it hangs a little down ...and you definitely can't plug in anything above it while the shaver is charging. You also have to push it into the outlet very hard to make it stay in to charge completely.
If you have baby fine hairs on your legs, then this is the shaver for you. Forget about under the arm or the bikini line, though, cause this "shaver" is more of a hair "saver".

It does work.
I would recommend this shaver for anyone who is willing to put time and effort into shaving. If you really work with it it does have a very close shave, and the other, less expensive, electric's I've tried don't get as close. But be warned, even though it can get close it can also nick your skin, although it is by far not as painful as using a triple blade razor and the nicks are not frequent what-so-ever. I'd prefer a triple blade, but due to my current finacial situation an electric is much less expensive and this one does do what it needs to do. I like that even if you let your legs get a little hairy, like in the winter, this works much quicker than a triple blade. It's not for everyone, but it works for me.

Excellent
Bought this one for the Mrs. and after having used a number of this type of shaver, she is quite satisfied with this one. Recharge is easy and the shaver does a great job.

Don't waste your money
This item is a real bust. First, you must wait for at least one-half hour after your last drink before it will 'work' (by which time you are probably driving already). But even then it is way off. I got readings 16 hours after my last of four drinks that were 0.18, and then one minute later 0.02, and one minute after that 0.08. It is unreliable.

Very useful for it's purpose, but limited
Alcohol reaches maximum blood concentrations about 20-30 minutes after your last drink. Also, you need to be sure you have no "mouth alcohol," that is, the reading should only register alcohol exhaled from the lungs. To avoid incorrect readings (too low or too high) its a good idea to wait. Another reviewed commented on the product having an upper limit of 0.19. Bottom line, you blow a 0.19, STOP DRINKING. This is more than twice the legal limit and is a reasonable ceiling. The unit is limited in terms of accuracy and the repeated warm-up cycling is annoying, but as an educational tool (and fun toy) for partied, this is great. The idea is to use it to prevent a friend from driving when you know he or she has had a few too many. Above all, read the directions!

Is what it says it is
... The idea of a pocket size alcohol detector is a great one. I think that any responsible driver is not trying to drink right to the legal limit anyway; hopefully they aren't drinking at all!!

I do suggest that you READ THE MANUAL. It is very clear on how it should be used.

Crabtree & Evelyn are the best
I ordered this product in December. Amazon kept delaying the ship date so I contacted Crabtree & Evelyn direct and they said they no longer carry this item So why is it still on the site for delivery in 2-3 weeks??????

This one does not get your goat!
I like unusual things to make bath time fun for me. The soap is so luxurious with lather I couldn't believe it. The scent is so lovely it perfumed my tiny bathroom as well. I don't think I will ever tire of the smell. It isn't one of those cloying scents, but very fresh and clean. I had always been a believer in milk as a bath item, but I never used it as much as some people I know. Well, I was thrilled after the first use of the soap (and hadn't even put any moisturizer on yet) and my skin felt like a piece of velvet, it was so soft. Needless to say, I really love this product and would buy it again, as a gift or for myself (to pamper me!) I am going to use the pail to plant bulbs for spring, so I will be using everything.

Makes for a really nice bath!
My husband gave this gift set to me, and I loved it...so I asked him to do it again! It has a great feel and fragrance, really lathers well. Light up a candle and play the "Candlelight Guitarist" CD, and you've got a really special bath going. You get a neat little pail, too!

Don't be fooled by flashy look
Spend more money to get something better. This unit broke after 4 uses. No power, nothing. Their 2-year warantee requires I pay to ship it to Homedics AND give them a check for 5 dollars so they can ship it back. I rather give my money to a reputable company, and suggest you look at Wahl.

Does the job - worth a try
I was looking for a good clipper set and decided to try this one due to the HoMedics promotion.
First of all, this was my first clipper set ever. So I have nothing to compare against (Wahl, etc.). But I can say that it did everything I expected. I do like to trim my hair very short (especially on the sides and the back) and this worked fine for that. Of course, my wife had to do the trimming and it took her a little getting used to, but she's quite gotten the hang of it. My first hair cut wasn't so bad - a little non-uniformity here and there, but that could have just been my wife. I was still very pleased overall. Saved me time and money, and the haircut was not bad at all. One more haircut at home and I'll have saved enough money to cover the cost of this product!
Also, I didn't know this earlier, but there's an lever on the side so that you can do a fine adjustment on exactly how short you want to cut your hair (with or without the guide combs). Speaking of guide combs, they seemed good enough for my purpose. We started with the #1 on the back and the sides and blended upwards with the #2. Finally, we used the scissors to trim off the top.
By the way, I noticed that they didn't show a pair of scissors included in the picture of all accessories. So if you're wondering about that, it IS in fact included (handle is black).
So, in closing, I'd say this clipper set does all that you could expect it to do and it's definitely worth a try, especially if it's on sale!

Okay, so i cut my own hair!
its not because i am cheap! i replaced an oyster with this kit. this is a much higher quality. the blades are sharp and maint. is easy. i use the 1/2 and 3/8 attachments with the tapers. very easy to do

Don't Bother
Whether it's sixty dollars, thirty dollars, or five dollars... this razor just isn't worth it. It does not work well at all. The mustache/sideburns trimmer is really weak, and the razor itself doesn't even come close to a close shave. Don't bother with this product.

not bad
well, i've only used it twice, but so far i haven't found out why it's so [inexpensive]. i had another electric razor years ago, one of the nice ... 3 round thingies kind, and i don't think i could ever use it without going back over parts with a 'real' razor, but the shaves so far from this conair have left me more cleanly shaven than i've ever been before. it does seem to be a bit noisy, but not overly so - it is electric, for goodness sakes. overall, it seems like an awesome razor for a very low price.

Head shavers take note!
Great for those who shave their head as well as their face!
Works well in the shower or dry and has great battery life.

Can't find replacement brushes
There one major problem with this product and that is you cannot find the replacement brushes for it. I believe that if a company is going to make a product with replaceable parts the least that they can do is make them available.

Inexpensive alternative
I have bought 2 of these toothbrush systems as I found they are a very cost effective electric dental product. Since using them, my dentist has told me that he has seen a difference in my teeth due to this using an electric brush(though he still nags about flossing of course), including less plaque. I actually enjoy using it as my mouth feels cleaner and to be honest, it makes it easier for me to do a good job. Yes electric brushed can help lazy brushers, but why do the work when the brush can for you?

The product is well built, fit nicely in your hand and has a charging base that plugs into any AC outlet. The color is not the greatest, so it might clash with some bathrooms. The brushes are round headed and the product "oscillates at 3600 strokes per minute" which is not as much as some of the other brand names, but is enough to keep your teeth clean and plaque down. It is not quiet necessarily, but it also is not too loud. Brush replacements are very cost effective...They sell them here at amazon, but I also have found similar at Target.

If you are looking for a low cost alternative electric toothbrush, this is a very good buy.

Goob Buy
I am so happy with this product that I purchased 2 more.

Confused And Amazed
I was suprprised to find a paper stating The item is not at all accurate. Tom Macchia. When locating the instruction booklet for the 1083N monitor I received, I can only assume Lumiscope shipped me an inferior item knowingly. Seems to be a sad state of business for a company providing such a important item.

Really Easy to Use
Want to monitor your blood pressure and ensure you are becoming more healthy? The Lumiscope blood pressure monitor reports your systolic and diastolic pressure as well as your heart rate.

I got this for my family members to help keep track of their blood pressure as we maintained our low carb lifestyle, and we found it VERY easy to use. In fact, we leave it in our kitchen and whenever people come to visit, they pick it up and play with it, without needing any instruction manual at all. You hold it in your left hand, with your finger in the cuff. You slide the slider until it's snug. You hit the ON button and then you hit START. That's it!

It's smaller than a paperback book, and can sit out on a counter or shelf, easy to grab and use at any time. Anyone who visits your house can give it a try and see what their own values are without any effort at all.

A number of people who have visited us have tried it and it's worked for everyone. I suppose if you had a REALLY thin finger it might not fit snugly enough, but we have had a number of thin, athletic people use it without any trouble at all.

Because it's just on your finger, there's no worry about rolling up arm sleeves or dealing with clothing at all. Insert Finger. Hit Button. Easy as pie!

Highly recommended as a way to track your own blood pressure on a daily basis, to watch as it improves during your diet progress. In addition, it's a fun device to have around the house when friends and family visit. You might help someone you love realize they have crept up in their blood pressure, and take action!

A Fabulous Product; Accurate and Simple
I am purchasing this monitor after having used many different types and brands of monitors. I have high blood pressure and after the birth of my daughter, another medical condition necessitated the care of a home health care nurse. One nurse used this monitor, another a wrist monitor, another an automatic arm monitor. Amazingly, it was the finger monitor that consistantly proved itself the most accurate when compared with manual arm cuff readings. The wrist was the absolute worst. Even the automatic arm cuff was off by at least 10 pts. everytime. This could be due to the fact that I am a large boned, heavier person and the other monitors tended to barely fit. Because of this, I would recommend this monitor especially for those in the same situation. I only feel comfortable recommending this monitor because of its consistant performance compared to everything else. I can't explain others' experiences. I can only say that I feel extremely comfortable using this machine to monitor my high blood pressure at home. And I am awfully picky!

Not for me
This item did not seem to work on any fabric I tried. Turns out it's crap. Not one speck of lint in the trap. What's up with that? I needed something that works for my fuzz ridden garments man.

Good enough for me.
It works wonderfully on knit products to remove "pilling", but it has a hard time with large pills from sweaters. It serves the purpose I bought it for and you can't beat the price!

This thing is great!
I love this little gadgit! I had one for 10 years that I bought from a local Remington store (now closed), the screen just now has worn out, the motor is still strong. I was so excited to see it on Amazon.com! It works better than anything I have tried to get fuzzies' off clothes and its fun to use!

Doesn't work after 3 months
It doesn't work after 3 months even though I used it even less than 10 times each month. Although its motor is till running, but it cannot remove any hair from my skin. Too bad, I cannot return it.

Have gone back to using regular razor and shaving cream
Not bad for a quick, not too precise trim, but the traditional shaving cream and regular razor is STILL faster and more thorough. Also, it sits poorly in it's charging base, making it difficult to get a good charge.

Great Shaver and compact too!
I previously used a Remington shaver which broke on me after three years of constant use. I didn't want to spend too much money on a replacement shaver and I saw this one on Amazon. I ordered it and it's been great ever since. It shaves great. It's even okay to use on the sensitive parts of your body. It comes in a cute little lavender pouch and it's the perfect size. My previous shaver was a little bulky, but this one I think is small enough to travel with but not too small in regards to handling it. Overall I think it's a great shaver.

Didn't get very hot
I recently returned this item. To try out the potential of this pad, I turned it on Medium and waited for it to heat up. After a few minutes, it was still not even warm, so I turned in on High and continued to wait a couple more minutes for it to finally get warm. After leaving it on High for about 15 minutes, it was still not sufficiently hot to be a "heating pad". It was only warm to the touch on top of the flannel cover meant to protect the heat from directly touching your skin. And on the side with the sponge to be used for moist heat, you could hardly feel any heat at all. I called Homedics (and waited on hold for too long) and told them of this situation, and they told me that the unit must be defective. I am not interested in trying again, however, as I do not want to wait around for the same thing to happen. My old heating pad is much better.

not as advertised
the ad said one hour automatic shut off. the one I received has a two hour shut off. longer then I wanted, but I will keep it rather then going through the hassle of returning it.

Good stuff, but too expensive
pro: nice and easy usage. the sponge is an add-on - but not very helpful in my situation. Overal a good one.
con: price-wise, I'd say this worth $10 ...
