Wasn't Pleased
Usually VS Sasson is a good brand but this one I was not happy with one. I didn't straighten at all, even after I blew out the hair. Didn't flatten or defrizz. I do not reccomend.

Not Good!
This straightener only has 170 watts of heating power. That is not a very good number! If you want salon-straight hair you need a ceramic straightener with 1875 watts... especially if you have thick or very frizzy hair!

The best straightener out there
I never thought that I could get my hair straight enough to actually like it. Until I found this VS Sassoon straightener. It is THE BEST!! I use it all the time and I love the way that it makes my hair look shiny and feel feather soft. I would tell anyone with wavy or curly hair who wants super straight, soft hair, to use this product. You can't go wrong!!

Flawed product, not trustworthy results
I am not happy with this product at all. The instructions indicate that there is no need to fast before the test, but I noticed what I ate day to day significantly affected the readings I'd gotten. My range had been anywhere from 160 to 210. And the strips are very tricky to apply blood to, unless you have a gushing wound, it is hard to gauge whether the hanging drop will "completely" cover the pad. On average I had wasted 1 out of 3 strips because the drop didn't cover enough of the pad for a reading. Sorry, but I can't believe this monitor is accurate based on my experiences.

Simple, convenient, works
i own this product and was surprised to see that Amazon even has it. it is very easy to use, small and portable and you get results quickly. you don't have to go back to the doctor 20 times to get a good baseline for your Cholesterol or to see if it's going up or down. Test yourself as often as you like and find out if a change in diet, exercise, and/or the use of newer Cholesterol-lowering drugs such as Lipitor are actually helping. This and things like those home blood pressure monitors are pretty nifty things to have. With the poor eating habits, the health of America in general and with heart disease still being the #1 killer (with no end in sight), I imagine the Lifestream monitor is a no-brainer for any of us (I guess at any age - 60 minutes just did a report that even kids are having heart attacks and dying in increased numbers). Oh ya, yes the product does actually work.

Simple, Accurate, and ... maybe, Lifesaving
I spent considerable time procrastinating before I purchased my Lifestream Cholesterol Monitor. My Cholesterol was under control due to medication but I was growing more and more concerned about the long term effects that the medication might have and was strongly wanting to slowly "wean" myself off the medication in favor of a more controlled diet. To do this meant more frequent checks of my Cholesterol Levels and I didn't really want it to mean more frequent DOCTOR visits.

So I purchased the Lifestream Monitor and it is everything I could have asked for in a home monitor. The instructions are simple and easy to read. It comes with a video that helps you visualize the process and the the process really is easy. Also, there is no fasting required so you don't have to skip eating.

The whole test takes less than 5 minutes and costs a lot less (per test) than a doctors visit. Also, results are stored on a Personal Health Card(one included)which holds up to 200 test results and can be taken with you when you go back to your doctor. The card also stores other important medical data and could be invaluable to medical personel in an emergency.

Lifestream has to be called, or contacted at their web address in order to activate your Monitor before use. This was confusing at first but, I believe this is good because it puts you in contact with a person who will answer any concerns and actually talk you through your first test if neccessary.

It was a slight disapointment to find that there were NO test strips included with the Monitor but, these strips have expiration dates so it would be difficult to keep "fresh" strips in the monitors setting on the store shelves. Lifestream will send you two strips after you call them and activate your monitor but, if you want to perform your first test the day you purchase your monitor you will need to purchase a package (6 strips) along with your monitor.

Overall, I am very happy with my monitor and it would benefit even those without current cholesterol concerns. It never hurts to know what your cholesterol level is RIGHT NOW. And with this monitor you can know your level as often as you want.

Buyer beware
I purchased this roller set as a gift for someone after reading the Amazon reviews; her experience did not match those of the other reviewers. The Remington H-1080N rollers were slow to heat, the roller clamps were difficult to place in the proper position, and it was difficult to put the rollers back in their proper slots when finished. The product's design is fundamentally flawed: the clamps, rollers, and parking slots are not color-coded. This item was returned at my shipping expense---the 15 year old Clairol unit this item was meant to replace heats faster and works better.

Would not recommend
I purchased these as a Christmas gift for my daughter. They take way too long to heat up and the clips leave a crimp mark in her hair. For the money I don't think they were worth it.

EXCELLENT PRODUCT!
Over the years, I have tried many different brands and types of heated rollers and I never liked using any of them. I recently bought a new set which I had to return due to the fact that I had a terrible time trying to roll my hair on the almost smooth surface of the rollers and then after clipping the rolls, they would immediately fall out of my hair....scream! I bought the Remmington #1080N wax core roller set and I have finally found the easiest and quickest way to curl my hair. The rollers surface, when warm, grab the hair ends immediately to allow great control when trying to roll even short hair. The rollers are held in place by a full clip which looks more like a comb so the clips do not leave a ridge in my hair. Once heated, the rollers are relatively cool to the touch (no more burned fingers) but due to the wax core, the rollers hold plenty of heat and it takes just a few minutes after setting to produce excellent, long lasting results. The set takes about 10 - 15 minutes to warm up. I've found the warm up time takes longer than the time I actually leave the curlers in my hair. This is the Best curler set I have EVER used. If I was to ask for one change, it would be a quicker warm up time. However, just the fact that rolling is so quick and easy, makes up for the few extra minutes of preparation. I'm hard to please, so my recommendation says alot. Thanks Remmington (I still don't like your other regular rollers! Ha).

There are identical products out there for less.
Hm, you can get the exact same thing sold under another name for less than 1/3 what they are currently selling it here for at major retailers like wal-mart and bed bath and beyond and many other places including catalogs. In fact, I used a 20% off bed bath & beyond coupon & got it even cheaper. It's called "Finishing Touch". It's the same thing down to the little eyebrow attachment and little brush. The only difference appears to be the coloring scheme, but the main body is still a brushed aluminum color.

I like mine, but I'm glad I paid as little as I did. This is a unique product which should not be unique, and I expect more trimmers like this to come on the market. It's not terribly well-made, but it does do the job. It's much safer, easier, and more comfortable than a blade. It doesn't get as close as a blade, but it does get as close as you can expect a trimmer to, and that's *closer* than the trimmer parts of more expensive electric shavers. It's a closeness somewhere between a blade and the trimmer part of electric razors, if you've ever used those.

It does use a AAA battery, and use a fresh one. It's not loud, but it does have kind of a cheap sound when it goes. Going against the grain of the hair helps a lot, as does slowing down; it's not for huge areas. The 'penlike' shape of it helps you do a good job in difficult sensitive areas and folds in the body, especially where you don't have a good view or easy reach and might otherwise hurt yourself.

These things are increasingly popular as people for men and women enjoy a different intimate look and feel. I'm a guy and I like it and use it for myself just as much as my girlfriend does for herself. They are now marketing an incarnation of this gizmo to men, making the color gray and black to seem macho and not girly, and including an expanded and confusing male-oriented "accessory kit", but even those are being sold for less than half of what this is being sold for on national commercials.

This is also helpful medically. If you are constantly using medical tape or sticky bandages, such as people using silicone patch scar therapy, or circumcised men participating in non-surgical restoration using medical tape (as I am; do an internet search on it), this thing is like a godsend, and, yes, had I not been able to get it for the price I did, I would have paid more for it, knowing what I know now.

Good for light facial hair, better for appearance than feel
I bought this product mainly for use on my light upper lip hair, and I am pretty pleased with how it works. It takes the hair off fairly quickly and thoroughly, although it does leave a tiny bit of stubble that you can feel if you rub your finger over the area. It's not really visible though (for light colored hair...I imagine darker hair would be more visible), unless you look extremely close. It is painless, definitely an improvement over using a harsh depilatory cream on the upper lip, although it does not come out as smooth feeling. It's easy enough that you could use it every day if you need to. I tried it with the comb attachment on my eyebrows, but it didn't have any effect, I guess my eyebrows are not the type that it is intended for. I agree with another reviewer that it is kind of expensive for what it does and I wish there were replacement blades available. The warranty is for one year and I envision that the product will probably stop being effective after 1 year and 1 day, but c'est la vie. I'm pretty happy with it.

A little pricy for what it is, but works great.
Yes, it does leave a tiny, tiny bit of stubble behind but if it is just peach fuzz then it's no big deal. For darker, more coarse hair it probably would not be satisfactory. I think this is a great little gadget for use on the face. It is a quick and painless way to keep unwanted facial hair at bay.

Not what I expected
I am 6 months pregnant and was in real need of a good warm foot massager. It had all the features but they don't live up to what I thought they would be. The removeable foot rollers are too big and painful as someone else mentioned, I just take them out. The bubbles do splash water all over the floor. There is a feature that says it will maintain the temp. of the water, but it doesn't, it gets cold quick. The manicure massager is ok, but it is in an awkward place. The vibration and the bubbles are nice but that's about it. Also, there should be a selection for bubbles only (without vibration). And there is NO fill line as the directions say!

Loved spa-hated remote control
I loved the spa when I could get it to work. This foot bath can ONLY be operated using the remote control, therefore if the remote goes so goes your foot bath. I could not get the spa to turn on again if I wanted to use it more than once a day. I turned it on for about 10 minutes then had to run an errand. The machine would not turn on again until the next day!!

Not bad
It's nice to have a foot spa, but there were a few surprises. This biggest problem is that the "water jet" function, which does indeed feel good, splashes water everywhere. You need to line your chair and the floor for several feet away to keep things dry! Secondly, though the manual refers to a fill line, there isn't one. You have no idea how much water to put in this thing. I've tried lots of levels (nothing gets rid of the horrible splashing with water jets) and have one that works reasonably well, but there was a lot of trial and error involved. Lots of water on the floor too!
Also, the removable rollers are far too large and painful to do any good. Fortunately they are removable. Maybe on a very large foot they'd be okay, but not on a size 8. Ouch! And the "all-purpose" massager is totally useless. The other attachments work fine, but aren't worth extra cost -- you have to twist your foot around on top, and that's somewhat difficult. (Once I figured it out, it wasn't so bad, but it's difficult to rub the side of my toe).
The heat doesn't maintain the water temperature at all, it quickly drops. Start with the water hot and enjoy your ten minutes, that's all.
The vibration and bubble combination gives a very nice tingle on the soles of my feet -- that, I enjoy very much.

Homedics Toothbrush Heads
I like the toothbrush, and the way it works. Now, if they can just make the heads so they don't fall apart after a couple of weeks.

Lack of Replacement Heads
My wife and I use this toothbrush and like it really well. The problem is the heads don't last and they are difficult to obtain. I emailed HoMedic and they didn't even bother to respone.

I believe that's a very poor way to treat customers. If I was selling a product I would make sure the stores which handle my products have adequate replacement parts available. Every store that is suppose to have them didn't. Even Amazon.com didn't carry the part but they said they would look for it. They said it was unavailable or discontinued.

no problems at all
I've had this toothbrush for over a year, no problems with it's operations, toothbrush heads or anything else. It does a great job. I only wish I could easily get replacement heads.

Nothing to it, poor excuse for a massager
I had a good massaging heating pad that was great, and I used it on my legs a lot., thought I could replace it. This one is not even in the ballpark. Absolutely useless, I have been had!

Poor massager, poor value, returning it
The massage portion of this heating pad is no more a massager than the vibrate on a cell phone. There is only 1 heat setting, which is OK, but it's a bit hot for only one setting. It's like the High setting on my 3 setting hot pad.

Just right for me
I love it, and here's why:

-It doesn't burn, the heat is relaxing, but not scortching, so you don't have to turn it on until it heats up and turn it off until it cools down, etc...

-The massager is great! It's not horribly loud or too bouncy. There are even different settings for it.

-The massager has a timer so you don't forget about it and keep it on for hours, possibly hurting yourself.

-The velcro straps make it possible to wrap up a body part and keep the pad in place.

-The pad is nice and soft, kindof squishy feeling even... very comfortable to lean against.

It's pretty great!

ear hair expert
I bought this Conair unit for the car (!)-(yup!) because I am a wreck in the mornings, and often forget to use my "old reliable" Panasonic one at home after shaving!...Moral of this story: this Conair thing ain't even worth the cheap price. It is loud, and doesn't cut close. Like giving your ear hairs a crew cut.

OK for the price
I received this for free and tried it out. It does the job just OK. Noisy.

not bad for the price!
I can see people complaining about this trimmer if they were paying a big price, but c'mon! It does a decent job and the noise isn't any louder than your average vibrator! (joke) Go spend a ton more or have it done professionally for alot more, but don't complain when you're not paying alot. You get what you pay for....

worst homedics product ever
I owned and loved an older Homedics model like this one for many years (the Lady Di model). When it finally wore out (after maybe 10 years), I bought this one and was very disappointed. It only worked sporadically. When I wanted it to work, it wouldn't but instead, it would turn itself on several times a day, nearly scaring the life out of my chihuahua. There was no stopping it until I finally had to disassemble it completely and took it outside to the trash. Shame on Homedics for selling this awful product which obviously was never tested. If Homedics ever does remake this product to work correctly, it would be nice if they would include a larger, fuller, more substantial brush instead of the cheap, spindly one which comes in this kit.

It works 50/50
The Cleanser and brushes work great, but the pore cleaner leaves a lot to be desired. I wouldn't say it sucks because it doesn't/atleast not very effectively (that's the problem). Panasonic makes a much better pore cleaner. Plus it works better in the shower.
This one I used 2x's in the shower even though I never got it wet directly it hasn't worked the same since.

Can't afford the spa?
I got this a few weeks ago and have used it about once a week. The kit has five different attachments. I'm not sure how useful the two suction ones are... But, not being able to afford the spa for microdermabrasion, Im really happy I got this.
Even after the first time, I noticed how smooth my skin was although it doesn't stay that way for more than two days until you've used it for some time.
There is a small tube of microdermabrasion cream to use with one of the attachments. It's not like the spa definitely where you come out glowing like those beautiful pregnant ladies.
But, texture is better for me now and i'm starting to even out a little better so eventually lose the foundation hopefully.
Good luck with your skin care!

Panasonic Nose and Ear Hair Trimmer
Don't let the name Panasonic fool you. This is a cheap toy. Mine got slower and slower, fresh batteries made little difference. It didn't even last a year. Spend a little more and get a better one.
E.L.

This thing does not work
It does make noise, but I could not find any cut hairs. Even when I tried to make it cut a specific hair it did not work. In the end I had to get the scissors and tweezer out.

This is the second one I've bought after 5 years.
I don't know why two of the other reviewers had problems, this little gizmo has worked great for me for the past 5 years when I bought it at Wal-Mart. Now they don't carry them and I want a replacement. BTW, I bought another kind (flat shaver style) and the thing is too clumsy to use (cut myself twice). This works great, at least on me.
