Great pick - up when you are down with a bug!
We purchased this about 2 years ago and faithfully get it out of the cupboard when we are down with a cold or flu. We do not use it so much as a facial steamer or pore "opener-upper", but more as a personal vaporizor. It does, however, leave your skin feeling great which is a nice treat when you're sick! It is a nice product, and I do recommend it to any who are interested in this purchase. The only drawback or annoyance would be the small amount of water it holds, not that big of a deal but if it were bigger, the steam would last longer, and you wouldn't have to fill it so often. *TIP* Keep a tall glass of water close by for quick refills! Overall, though, a great product.

Compact and useful!
This is a compact little facial sauna/ vaporizer combo! It heats up quickly and is simple to use. It is very helpful in cleaning one's pores when using it as a sauna. It is very helpful to unclog ones nose when used as a vaporizer! This item comes with a special vaporizer attachment which is very comfortable and pleasant to use! The only disappointment I have with this item is that the directions tell us not to put medication in the little cup, only water. I would of liked to put some Vicks in, when I use it for my sinus/ allergy condition. I am afraid to try this, I guess if the directions say not to do it, I will break my sauna/vaporizer. :-(

This product really works
This product is really worth getting it really does do what it says.I recommend it to any body that is looking for a healthier looking skin.

Excellent for smaller mouths
THe ultra compact brush heads for Sonicare are excellent for smaller mouths. By switching to them (from the Compact ones) I was able to better clean my teath and in between my braces. Also, getting to the hard to reach places is much easier and minimizes the toothpaste splatter that inevitably occured when I was brushing with the Compact brush head.

THE BEST Toothbrush
The Sonicare toothbrush system is the best on the market in my opinion. I've had numerous periodontical surgeries in the past few years. Once I got my Sonicare toothbrush system, my Periodontist saw a SUBSTANTIAL improvement. The Compact Brush Heads are the perfect compliment to the system. These brush heads are small enough to get into the very back of the mouth to clean where it's almost impossible to clean with a regular sized head. If you share your system, the easy to see color coded button on the front of the head allows you to know which brush head belongs to you. This is an EXCELLENT product for everyone.

Sonicare is riding the wave of the future
The biggest complaint I hear from people about electric tootbrushes is that the replacement heads are too expensive. Come now, that was the type of thinking that would have killed the Industrial Revolution!

For anyone who really cares about dental hygeine or even just the way they look to other people, you can't not use an electric toothbrush anymore. I laughed at the idea at first, but once I began using one I will never be able to use a regular toothbrush again without feeling like my mouth isn't clean. When you go to the dentist--what type of toothbrush does he/she use on you? Electric--for a reason, because it cleans better.

The marginally higher cost of replacing the heads rather than buying an entirely new disposable toothbrush is insignificant when you actually feel as clean as you can when you use an electric brush. Personal dental care has evolved to the next step, and you don't want to be caught be the last person using a slide ruler because you were too frugal to purchase the more expensive but more effective calculator.

Your teeth (and anyone who comes in contact with them) will thank you.

Panasonic EW176 Portable Oral Irrigator
My dentist recommended that my family use this portable irrigator. I must say that I am very pleased with it. I personally hate to floss, so this has made a huge difference
with my gums. The only thing that I recommend is that you use rechargeable batteries as the batteries do wear down rather quickly. We went on a trip this past weekend, and it was great. Being very portable, I didn't have a problem packing it in my suitcase. It is even small enough to put in my purse to take to work. One thing, once you start using it, you will hate the feel of food on your teeth!

A Gem Of A Product
Results for me have been terrific---I have inlays, fillings, crowns. etc. This great "tool" in tandem with brushing and flossing over the past 3 or 4 months cleared all debris for the first time. I have always been told to try harder---I did with this irrigator added to my usual regimen of just brushing and flossing. My dentist gave me a thumbs up for the first time in a long while. No new cavities this past dental visit. I bought one for my daughter and ordered another for myself. If Panasonic ever discontinues this I will have a spare.

Excellent Product - good for cleaning wisdom teeth
Excellent design and price. Very powerful. I have used this to clean my Panasonic pore cleaner and even my Panasonic wet/dry razor. I'd recommend this highly to anyone with wisdom teeth that are difficult to clean.

good plaque removal but not durable
I have been using the Braun Oral-B plaque remover for quite a while now. I began while I had braces on for about a year and a half, and my orthodontist highly recommended the device to get the toughest bits of food out from between the most hidden spots of my mouth. Fortunately, it has worked and my teeth are in the healthiest of conditions. The base of the toothbrush is easy to grip, but not durable. I must warn you that mine cracked after little over a year of usage, and I sincerely hope that there is some kind of anti-electrocution mechanism, what with all of the water that flies around as I am using the toothbrush over my sink. The brush heads are not very durable either (though they may be the best the market has to offer) and wear out quite quickly, meaning you have to purchase incredibly expensive replacement heads (as usual, you ask yourself how a tiny piece of plastic and some brush can cost so much cash). So, I would rate it high on usefulness, but low in terms of durability and price. Happy brushing!

So far I'm delighted with my purchase.
Having had some dental problems over the years and two extractions, I've been intrigued by the new advances in dental care products. Last year I bought a cheapie battery powered toothbrush and liked the feel of it even though it seemed just a little harsh. Also, it went through batteries pretty quickly so I decided, in the long run, a rechargeable might actually be more effective and economical.

I ask my dentist about the sonic toothbrushes and he said the reports were good and he wouldn't discourage me from getting one because he felt they couldn't do harm and certainly would be as good as, and probably superior to, hand brushing.

The various sonic models are quite pricey and one brand, the SonicCare has a huge handle that looked terribly uncomfortable for my undersized hands. Since I had liked the small round head on the battery operated toothbrush, this Braun, with the same type of head and a smaller handle, and a somewhat lower price than the "sonics", seemed like a good compromise.

So far, I love it. I not only brush my teeth, I brush my gums inside and out and also my tongue, top and bottom. The feeling is so good I tend to brush beyond the two minute timer. Flossing afterwards reveals miniscule debris remaining and is far less than either hand brushing or the battery toothbrush left behind.

I don't know what the following reviewer means about the replacement heads--they are a breeze to put on and take off. I'm not sure we are even reviewing the same product.

If I am ultimately disapointed in this product, I will come back to the site and relate any flaws I discover.

Great for Parents
I bought this for present to my parents (in their 60s).
The love this. It's easy to use and the reshargeable feature give less to worry about. Especially for my parent's generation, it is not easy for then to change small batteries in things like this. Only thing they don't like about this is that each has it's own charger. Therefore two wires to mess with....

Alcohol Detectors
The BT3500 is one of many detectors on the market today. I use one whenever I have a few drinks and want to get an idea of my BAC (blood Alcohol Content)...

Have fun and be SAFE
I have seen products of this type in our local club store. But I wanted to be able to carry it in my pocket. That particular one was almost the size of my home phone, this one fits into my pants pocket! It's about the size of a bic lighter!

I took it out the other night at a cocktail party and everybody there had to try it. I am sure that Amazon was inundated with orders for it from the folks at that party alone. One drawback is that you have to let the alcohol in your mouth dissipate to give a true reading. It requires that you wait a bit to use it after your last drink. But the peace of mind that comes from having it is well worth it...

Great toy
This little thing is great at the end of a party !!!

a little too powerful
This thing was so powerful, while I massaged my sore shoulders, I actually started to feel nauseated! The pulsating massager caused me to feel like I was getting motion sickness. I stopped and tried again later--at low speed and alas, made me sick again. If you don't tend to get motion sickness, then give it a try. I sent it back.

Great for the Price need more settings
I wish it had a lower setting. I used on my wife and we only used the 1st of 2 settings, and she was sore the next morning.
The Low setting seems like it should be a high setting on another massager. And the High is too powerful.

Cord needs to be longer. I had to find an extension cord to use on the couch.

ummm good
...got one of these babies for the old lady...
now I am free to stay in the garage and play with my harleys all day and night. This toy rocks the house.. and the bed!

Good for weight, terrible on fat accuracy
I have no reason to doubt the accuracy of the weight feature, and both weight and body fat percentage are consistent if you weigh yourself several times in a row. However, the body fat percentage, as some other reviewers have mentioned, is extremely unreliable as an absolute measure. All body fat percentages are an estimate, but based on other estimates, this scale reads about 6-10% off (low in my case) from other estimates of my body fat, which is a very significant error. I plan to use it to monitor changes, since I believe it's at least consistently off, but if I'd realized it would be this far off, I probably wouldn't have bothered to buy it. Also, the information booklets accompanying the scale on body fat are of very questionable scientific accuracy, as is a lot of information out there about healthy vs. athletic body fat percentages (why are they never listed as the same range? Aren't athletes generally the healthiest?) Bottom line, it's useful as a scale, it's pretty, and it's somewhat useful for measuring changes in body fat.

Dislike the athlete mode
I bought this scale partly because it had the Athlete mode, but that feature seems to be more confusing than informative. According to the user manual, their definition of "athlete" is "a person involved in intense physical activity approximately 10 hours per week... or a lifetime of fitness individual who has been fit for years but does not currently exercise 10 hours per week."
This description seems both extreme and vague.

I'm pretty fit. I exercise seriously for about five hours a week, I compete casually. Does this make me an athlete? I decided to try it both ways, and see how much of a difference it made. It was 10 percentage points, which for me was the entire spread between the underside of healthy and the overside of healthy. I'm pretty sure I'm actually somewhere in between. So the body fat sensor does not seem to be providing any effective information at this point.

The one thing I really do like about is the scale part seems to be very precise, accurate and reliable.

Get the skinny on your bodyfat!
I just got this scale for myself as a Christmas present and I have nothing but good things to say about it.

Pros:

EASE OF USE - Inputting the user settings when you first get the scale takes less than 2 minutes. The interface is intuitive and the instructions included are complete and easy to understand.

PRECISION - You get nice and consistent readings for both body weight and body fat if you do repeat weighings right after another. Usually within 0.2 lbs and 0.1% body fat.

ACCURACY - There's a lot of debate over what the most accurate way to measure bodyfat is - calipers vs. electrical impedence etc. However, I think that it's more important to be able to track your improvement rather than being able to know exactly what your % bodyfat is. This scale allows you to do that. So you know that you've dropped 5% bodyfat and that you know roughly what it is. Unless you're a world class athlete, it's probably not necessary for you to have an exact value and if you are one of those few people, you probably have access to more advanced methods.

COST - At the present Amazon price, this is a great deal. About the price of a session with a trainer and only a few dollars more than a regular digital scale without the body fat feature.

CONS:

None that I can really think of right now. As I mentioned earlier, some people may be shocked/disappointed by the readings they get and dispute the accuracy of them. However, as I mentioned, the direction of your bodyfat change is more important and more valuable.

Good value
I got this scale primarily to help my wife with weight loss and an exercise regimen, but I was also curious about my own developing "tummy."

Weight and fat measurements are very good for a consumer electronic item.

Setup is not 100% intuitive, but instructions are clear. Also, I like the multiple pre-sets to allow several people to enter their body parameters (male/female, height, age) which allows several different users. There's also a "guest" mode, but I'd be impressed if any casual guest could figure out how to program this thing.

So far so good
I got this scale because I started working out with a trainer. Now I'm not a real athletic person (a stay-at-home mom), but I needed to get into shape for an upcoming holiday trip. Well, I was getting a little upset over the fact that though I've been working out, the weight hasn't been coming off like I want. My husband and trainer both say I'm getting toner and to just stop looking at the scale.
So I got this scale and darnit wouldn't you know, it was right. My muscle tone has improved and while reading the manual it said not to get frustrated over a lack of losing weight while your muscle mass gets firmer (something like that). Anyway, I love this thing. It's great. So even when my weight fluctuates, I can keep track of my body fat, which I'm happy to say is well within the healthy range.
So, yes. I highly recommend this product, especially for those who want to get fit, not just trim.

Accurate scale with nice features!
I am responsible for my own weekly weigh-ins and needed a scale that was accurate. I found it in this Tanita. It also has nice features like body fat measurement and storing 2 differant people's info. My husband and I can both use it! It also has a guest function if I want to just weigh the kids. It was pricier than other scales but well worth the money for an accurate scale with a 3 year warrenty. You can't go wrong!!

Ummmmmmmmm...
Okay, this twists your hair and the twists come out very easily. Using the clear elastics to tie the twists ruin your hair and break very easily, and the beads don't really snap if you have thick hair. It's fun, but it could have been a lot better.

Not just for the younger generation!
I've always liked the "twists" better than braids, and this product delivers exactly what it promises. Some say 'it takes practice' which I agree for younger girls(or guys), but for ages 16 and up, it's very easy. I figured it out right away and had no problem styling my hair with it. If I had to choose a downfall on this product, it'd probably be that you can't make your twists too big or else the hooks won't hold your hair. I have very thick hair, so I ran into that problem. I just made my twists smaller.
I work in a corporate setting in marketing and when I came to work with my hair styled in twists, I had all my co-workers asking me how I did it - plus my clients!. The next day, three of my co-workers had their hair styled with twists - one went to a SALON and it looked just like mine! So, this isn't just for kids or teens, it's for all ages.

Conair Easy Hair Braider
I loved the Conair hair braider. It is very easy to use and worked great. If you are in a hurry and want a quick braid this is the thing to use. It is a great size, so you can carry it anywhere. The beads and bands help secure the braids so they look great. I would definately reccomend this to anyone.

Not good at all
I bought this for my parents as a gift only to get embarassed by the fact that this was a really horrible choice amongst all the BP Monitoring tools you can get these days, it was so inaccurate that everytime it took readings it showed that my parents were really sick and should not be in a position to walk around. It gives highly inaccurate readings and varies remarkably every fifteen minute( it is suggested in its manual to take 10 readings every 15 minutes and average it ).
Please do not buy this if you are a BP patient as it is going to make you feel more sick.

Easy to Use
This item got used immediately upon receipt and it was so easy and simple to use. I was glad it included batteries but I wonder if they could also include the AC adapter as the input was there for one.

The Home Kit no home should be without
This monitor is worth its weight in gold. Have used it on all my family members and was truly satisfied with the results. Excellent product!
