Dust bags, cloth or paper, are tough to find for this vacuum. Amazon doesn't sell them and Milwaukee has a $30.00 minimum order. So, if like me, you live in a rural area, better make that original bag that comes with the machine last a long, long time.

I own a lot of Milwaukee tools, among those from most other major brands, and bought this sight unseen. I figured between the reviews, the brand, and the price, it must be a great vac. I was expecting a tornado in a shoe box. Unfortunately, this is the first Milwaukee product I've purchased and been notably unhappy with. Not that it doesn't vacum ok, it does, but for the price I expect it to suck a tennis ball through a 1/2" pipe...

I plan to keep this vac., but only because returning it is more hassle than I have time for. I had hoped I could attach a longer hose and use it with my various sanders, and I'll still try to, but my guess is that the longer hose will fiurther lessen it's suction. As said, in the past I have had blind faith in Milwaukee's products. I'll be giving a second thought to purchases outside their primary product lines from this point forward. This one's a dud.

Surprised by small size..however very impressed by its power. Now if I can only purchase bags for it on Amazon..it would work a lot better

Our Tilia unit sits prominently on the kitchen counter and it gets used numerous times a day! I have 20 of their white dome top designer canisters and six of the bulk food canisters.

Even though the bulk ones are great for cookies, cereal, a lot of different corn chips and crackers they have a design problem in that the tops get almost microscopic stress cracks which allow the air the enter and makes them useless. Now here is the KICKER, Tilia says that these tops can not be put in the diswasher, and even though we have hand washed these tops I believe the stress cracks develop truough time and NOT misuse! I mean c'mon now how are you going to misuse these dumb things they don't work well as frisbees at all. Matter of fact the square bulk canister top .... oh well you get the point

So ... Tilia will replace the item free of charge BUT ONLY UP TO 1 YEAR AFTER purchase.......ALSO WORSE, they do not replace only the tops OR the plastic rings that have a tendency to stretch after time and usage!

I askied Tilia if they were NUTS or what .... I spend 25 bucks fo a canister and run the risk of having to dump it if it cracks after 1 year!

So far I now have 3 canisters with stress cracks and I had Tilia replace 3 of them already! Tilia told me they aren't gonna replace any more of them and I told I sure ain't buying any bulk canisters.....

I did find that using an expoxy glue that comes in two seperate tubes to be mixed and is sold at ACE will fill in the cracks after the epoxy hardens if you put the glue on while trying to get a vaccum .... that way the expoy gets sucked into the tiny tiny cracks ... So far so good, let you know next yearif I still got any bulk containers left ....

TILIA YOU GOT A GREAT PRODUCT I'M AN AVID CUSTOMER BUT FIX THIS PROBLEM WITH THE BULK CANISTERS NOW .... OR AT LEAST REPLACE THE TOPS ONLY these items are too too expensive to be worthless after ony a few years !!!!!

This canister doesn't seem to work. I seal it and the seal seems fine, turn the knob to close, and by the end of the day the canister isn't sealed anymore. I don't have this problem with the designer canisters, just this one. I plan to return it.

These are so easy to use and work perfectly. As with anything that seals, you have to make sure the top seal is completely clean of flour etc., or you will lose your vacuum.

I suppose the most relevant thing to say about this cleaner is that replacement bags for this vacuum are VERY difficult to find even online and are expensive as a result. I had to resort to an eBay auction, which was still cheaper than buying retail, but nonetheless worked out to $3/bag. There is no indicator to tell you how full the bag is, but the machine starts losing suction about half-way full, so if you want a good cleaning you've got to have a fresh bag.

The tools are laughable, particularly the brush: after trying it out on the upholstery, I realized that the debris wasn't making it into the vacuum itself. The tape roller was more effective than the upholstery tools. And it's not an ergonomic machine, either. Changing tools or pulling apart the tubes requires real strength, which makes this machine unsuitable for people with arthritic or impaired grips.

Neither is there a tidy way to store the cord (no brackets or other notches): you just end up winding it around the vacuum.

My first vacuum and I would buy it again

I bought this vacuum little over a year ago. I was very pleased with it at first, it did a great job. (By the way, the hardwood floor tool came with it when I got it). I love the canister, less strain on your back, and you easily can use the attachments to clean up furniture, stairs, even ceiling fans, it is a lot less restricting than an upright. Not all canisters come with a rotating brush like this one, and it was the perfect vacuum at first. At this time I would have given it 5 stars!

There are a lot of stores that do not carry the bags for this vacuum, I had to look in a few stores to find them.

It did not take long, the full bag indicator stopped working, not to mention that the light bulbs constantly burn out, finally I stopped replacing them. Than the cord did not coil up anymore. The little door for the acessories comes open or loose when you store it upright, and all the tools fall out. Now the suction power is really weak, even though the bag is new and the filter replaced (I checked for other problems, even took it apart to clean around the motor, no other problems found). The vacuum is unable to pick up pet hair from the rugs, and I am looking for a new vacuum. Due to the limited lifetime and all the problems that occured, my satisfaction/ rating has dramatically dropped.

ELECTRIC CORD DOES NOT AUTOMATICALLY RETRACT, AS IS STANDARD IN MOST VACUUM CLEANERS.

DOES A GOOD JOB CLEANING CARPETS, BUT POWER NOZZEL IS VERY NOISY ON HARD WOOR FLOORS. PLEASANTLY LIGHT TO CARRY.

I bought this and found it ok. That is served my purpose !

I've owned the EP238 for a year now and have been really very happy with its performance and durability. It works extremely well on hardwood and ceramic floors and the "air powered" rotating brush attachment for denser carpets works like a charm. The attachments all work well and the adjustable suction control is really convenient when you're using the dusting brush. Best of all, it is quiet and easy to move around. Its only shortcoming is a short (17 ft) power cord. I'd buy another one without a moment of hesitation.

I have mostly wood floors in my house so i've been wanting a canister vacuum. Finally made a decision and bought this one. So far no regrets. The attachments are great, the suction is great, the size, and price can not be beat. I am a little disappointed with the "wood floor" type attachment, but it's definately doing the job. Even the carpet attachement works well on my one area rug. I too am excited to try out new euro pro products.

I cannot believe so many have had so much trouble with this vac. The last one I had lasted a good three years. And that was three years of daily use and abuse. I used it to clean floors and rugs. Cat hair and litter and every day dirt. It only died recently after the motor died. I cannot complain about this vac. I have bought many over the years, and this is the best one I have ever bought. Just my opinion and experience.

This vaccum has a very cheap plastic nozzle and is severly under powered. It would probably work for you if you lived in closet, else get a more robust Hoover model. It was returned.

It does pick up well, but the bags are small and have to change often. the onboard tools are never onboard- they always fall off. We use this in our RV so it does okay, but I would never use this as my house vacuum

I replaced this Hoover Canister Vacuum cleaner.(S3510) for the older Hoover I had, The older model canister was over 40 years old and was still in running condtion. but it was too heavy for these ol'bones. This new model (S3510) is so much lighter and very easy to use, It does a good vacuum cleaning,it serves my needs, I am very pleased. I couldn't pass up the offer made by Amazon, it was truly a good bargain.

THIS HAS TO BE THE WORST PURCHASE I HAVE EVER MADE, IT HAS NO POWER AT ALL, AND GETS HOT REALLY FAST, IT'S OK FOR SMALL PLACES OR FAST PICK-UPS, BUT IT DOESN'T DO THE JOB I NEED DONE IN MY HOUSE, ANOTHER THING TO STORE IN THE SHED

I love this thing! I throw it over my shoulder and head down the stairs and continue from the carpeted areas to the hard wood floors without having to switch anything. My old Hoover (an upright) was great, but it was so bulky when it came to vacuuming the carpeted stairs. This is not bulky and there are no bags to worry about!

It's not for carpet. Don't even think about getting this to solve a dog hair problem unless you have hard floors only. However, for those pesky little corner jobs, window sills, light fixtures, inside drawers, it can't be beat. Very light weight but lots of sucking power. Here are some of the things it has taken care of:

1. Dead oriental lady bugs (the biting kind) in the window sill

2. Cobwebs and general ickiness from the track of the sliding door

3. a jar of little screws I knocked over and didn't have time to pick up by hand before company was arriving.

4. Cat litter (excellent job on this)

5. Dog food

This little vacuum and a good upright model should take care of most of your vacuuming needs.

We recieved these canisters a year ago as a gift and within the first week, two latches broke. On the other two canisters, the seal is so poor that my brown sugar is too hard to get out. We keep these on our shelf because we like the way they look, but they are not functional due to a flimsy design.

If you are looking for a light weight airtight canister set, look elsewhere. I think that the idea is nice and they look great, but once you fill them with sugar or flour, they are too heavy to carry around. I don't know about you, but I keep my canisters off on a side counter and take them out only when I need them. These are too heavy for me to move around alot. Also, the clasps are not heavy duty enough to handle the pressure. I broke the small clasp the very day I bought it.

I recevied these canisters as a wedding shower gift. So far I like them, than again I only had them for like a week. The one thing is that the lid is hard to clasp, well they were for me at least. But so far i like them!

I have owned my Fantom Canister for four years. It has been a wonderful vacuum cleaner, surpassing all my expectations regarding cleaning. But, it has had its problems, too. Anything plastic on it has broken, including the power switch cover and the cord retractor. And, just recently, it tripped a circuit breaker when I turned it on (impending motor burnout??)
Anyway, to make a long story short, I was about to order a Fantom upright cleaner, when I read about the Company's recent demise and the horror stories others have written about their Fantoms...and changed my mind. It is just a shame that Fantom has had to go out on such a sour note....

I have 3 homes, and I have a Fantom Lightning Canister Vacuum Cleaner in each one, so I own 3 of these. I owned Fantom uprights before these, and they were great, but these top those.
Much easier to use, much lighter weight, and in two of my homes I have carpeted steps, so I purchased the separate attachment for stairs. I love the way the vacuum sets on the steps, no chance of it falling, very secure. I really enjoy being able to see the dust and dog hair that this picks up, and I have a very hairy large Cocker Spaniel. 2 of my homes are totally carpeted, and the 3rd has carpet and tile, works great on any surface. Also it is very easy to vacuum mop boards and under beds. If I were to need another, I would definitely buy a Fantom.

My Fantom Lightning is four years old. I also have a Fantom Cyclone Xt, and used to have a Fantom Thunder that I gave to my grandmother.They all work excalent and are all four years old. They were all purchased in the last four monthes used. Just today I vacuumed with the cyclone and then went over the Carpet with the Lightning that I just got yesterday. Boy , I gave the cyclone Xt a 5 star ratting, but when I went to empty the Lightning there was about half as much as what was in the cyclones canaster in the Lightning. And no the cyclone was not clogged The hepa filter works great.Thanks, for reading.
