Great Vac but Poor designIt has great suction!, I accidently brushed against a large shop towel and it sucked it up faster than I could pull away, it ended up in the tank and not stuck in the hose. I also liked how easy the top lifts off, pull 3 clips and it's off, the cord storage is OK, but I wish the prongs were a little larger as the 18 foot cord does not entirely fit.
The only bad things I noticed were in the design, the ON/OFF switch is horrable! it's a solid read button, actually its a rubber cover over a rocker type switch, which reads both ON> Overall it's a great machine, Improve the design, and you got one awesome machine!...
Fantastic Performance!
Great product

It actually cleans better than you'd think!!So, if you are contemplating buying this vac and have realistic expecatations, then don't hesitate, you won't be sorry.
Now, if I could just get it to do the stairs...
Whoopee!
A robot just cleaned my house!

Not bad for the size.items which I tried vaccuuming - I think I tried to use the product
beyond what was intended.
Nice little machineAssembly is simple and clean up is a snap. The filter will get full of ash if you use it for your fireplace but a quick rinsing will alleviate that problem.

Pretty Nice Device
better than the older modelsThe 9610 seems, so far, to buck that trend.
I have used the 9610 for 14 consecutive minutes on high setting. I have done this twice, and it still lasted the full 15 minutes on high. It should run longer on the lower power setting.
random comments on this unit:
- The attachments (when not in use) snap into the bottom of the vacuum, but a vigorous shake of the vacuum will dislodge them. Well, they have fallen out several times for me, because there are times when you do shake the vacuum for whatever reason.
- The power of this vacuum is excellent. My older, lower voltage dustbusters had very little sucking power. This one is a real sucker. Basically, if it will fit thru the front hole, it's gone. (Except for maybe heavy steel items)
- The plastic finish does scratch fairly easily, so if you want a showpiece device, this isn't it.
- The filter is a two stage. You only need to clean the outer filter every time, and the inner filter when it gets really dirty. I like that.
- The price/performance issue. You can pay $20 for a low end dustbuster, or pay $34 (walmart) for this one. Is it worth it? Well, if the $14 difference is significant for you, maybe not. But if the cost is not prohibitive for you, by all means get this model instead.
I would not recommend other dustbuster models, but I would recommend this one.
Dust bunny destroyer!!I got a dust buster about 10 years ago and it did minimally well for a few things, but was mostly disappointing. Actually I didn't use it much because it's usefulness was so limited. Periodically I used it to clean the massive cob webs in the basement ceiling and it shined there. So when that one died, even after reading positive reviews of the newer ones, I was skeptical. And, I'm happy to say I was wrong.
I've got hardwood floors and linoleum in the kitchen and bath. Dust bunnies reproduce like, well, bunnies. I could never keep up with them all. And I have 2 Cavalier King Charles Spaniels that shed super-fine hair. Combine the two things and YOWWIE! Dust-ball-city, baybee--especially if company is coming.
But this new dust buster with the 9.6 volt power really sucks! And I mean that in a good way. It's actually "fun" to suck those annoying balls of dust and dirt out of corners and wherever they hide. It easily picks up dirt and dry lawn stuff the dogs constantly drag in from outside too. I start in the kitchen and then end up going all over the house looking for more.
Let me just add that I am NOT one of those women who treat housekeeping as a hobby. It's one of my favorite things to procrastinate over. So when I say a vacuum is fun, it's bizarre! But this is one of the best and most useful purchases that I've made recently, and my house is cleaner for it. It's a handy product.

Good power, so-so attachmentsThe power is good - strong enough to pick up evenly across the width of the floor tool while cutting a swath through dust, dirt, or cat litter. It does have trouble with larger objects - bits of kibble, in my case - but this seems down to the head design. If I take it off, the bare hose sucks up anything I've tried it on.
The tools that come with the machine are not the best designs I've seen. The smooth surface tool has a nice, wide head, but has wheels on it that seemed more of a nuisance than any real use. Relatively soon (I've had it about a month now) one of the wheels fell off and could not be popped back on. That aside, the tool works OK without wheels (hardly any difference) and does not scratch the floor, so it's still usable.
The machine also came with a very interesting-looking device for cleaning carpet, complete with a mechanism designed to spin a small brush. This worked for about five minutes, during which time it was quite effective on our berber rug. It then stopped working and I've been unable to make it work since.
The internal workings seem more robust; it's done a great job handling a lot of pet hair, cat litter, bits of food, heavy dirt, etc. For its size and weight (pleasantly light) it has great power, and I find the filter no real bother to clean. Like any bagless, you do need to be prepared to handle some mess when emptying the dust cup, but it's usually enough just to stick it in a plastic grocery bag and dump the dirt into the bag. Lots cheaper than cleaner bags and handy as well. I'm happy with it and for the price, it's a nice buy.
I can't say enough good things about this vaccuum! And I can not say enough good things about it. It doesn't fall over because the back wheels are huge, they move smoothly to follow you around. the cord is long. It is easy to switch from carpet to bare floor and it comes with a ton of attachments. It easily gets under dressers and into areas that you could never get an upright! You just pick up the hose and put it behind the furniture or lay it down and do under! You can easily do the couch cushions! I will NEVER go back to an upright.
And with this one there are no bags!! The filter is easy to clean! It picks up everything on the first swipe and gets deeply into the thick, plush area rug in our family room! And with two toddlers and two dogs, there are a lot of spills and messes and it works great! I can do my whole house with this one very lightweight, compact, easy to store vaccuum!
I LOVE IT!!!!!!
Trying this model sincefor purchasing this new model is that going to give the old
mite to a family member to use in there cars. So if the 3690
is anything like the old mite it will be a good vac.
It is confusing searching the net but when went to Eureka sites
some of the models in net are not listed. This led to believe
they were discontinued so again selected the 3690. All that
was listed were 3670, 3690, 3695.
Will follow up once this model arrives

- Triple filtration
- Bagless cyclonic dirt collection
- 12-amp motor
- 12-inch cleaning path and 23-foot power cord
- On-board attachments

GOOD pickup, POOR impracticle featuresPROS: 1) Good suction 2) Easy to empty 3) Three filters 4) Hasn't clogged and I've sucked up a bag of flour and have brand new carpet.
CONS: 1) IT'S HEAVY 2) It's very bulky 3) The hose is way too SHORT which really surprised me. I tried to pull it out to suck something up and it barely reached pass the vacuum. As heavy as the vacuum is you'd think they'd make the hose longer so you could reach the messes. Not to mention that it only comes with one extension (plus a brush and a crevice tool) 4) The duster is VERY IMPRACTICAL. It's what made me try this model and I never use it now. The first time I used it I knew I would never use it again. When you put the duster back into the holder it pushes the bristles back and throws the dust everywhere. It doesn't get an electrostatic charge (at least mine never did) so dust really doesn't stick to it very well. It just moves the dust around. You're better off with a good old fashion feather duster.
So to sum it all up, it's heavy and awkward to use, but it has excellent sucking power. Don't buy this for the features, you can find a vacuum with equal power for the same price (or lower) that has better features.

No blower
Easy to use and it definitely gets the job done.In short, this machine fit the bill perfectly. I don't have any complaints about it. It came w/ a huge vacuum bag, hose, accessories and it was easy to assemble. It has amazing sucking power and is very easy to move around. It's probably more machine than I need for my purposes, but I'm not complaining at all.
To sum up: It's an extremely nice machine for a very nice price. I seriously doubt you'd be disappointed.
Keep the cat away from this vac
