This is a great vacuum. Small and very powerful and can be used as a blower. The vacuum wasn't packaged very well when it was shippid though, I can see a small dent on it. It seems to run fine. The directions were a bit thin too. I would buy this again without a doubt.

I tried to purchase this vac from Amazon but they kept sending me busted machines for some reason. But once I got it from another site - WOW - this is the single most efficient and powerful vacuum I've ever had. It is GREAT!!!
I got the model with wheels and a strap for carrying up the stairs and extra long hose. It is perfect for hard to reach places. All I can say EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. EVERY HOME SHOULD HAVE ONE.

THIS IS THE GREATEST LITTLE VACUUM. IT'S LIGHTWEIGHT, POWERFUL, AND QUIET. I GIVE THEM TO FRIENDS AND FAMILY AS GIFTS AND THEY ARE THILLED. THEY NOW REQUEST IT! THIS IS THE ONLY PLACE I CAN FIND TO BUY THEM. I USED TO GET IT AT RESTORATION HARDWARE.

I strongly encourage you not to purchase this unit. Ours was a replacement for another FoodSaver which stopped working. After 6 uses the bags would not seal correctly and I had to return it Talia for repair. Once again after 3 more uses the unit stopped functioning correctly and coincidently it happened after the warranty expired. Consequently, I'm stuck with a broken unit (unless I want to $50+) to have it sloppily repaired.

I shop a lot at the wholesale clubs and I asked to get this for Christmas after a friend recommended it. I love it, my favorite thing to Vacuum are my coffee beans. I am from Seattle, we are fanatics about our coffee :) I have also found that the large packs of chicken do not go bad in my freezer now and come out looking great. I have used it now almost 100 times in a few months and it has worked flawlessly. I have a couple of accessories for my machine, at first the accessory hook up did not work but it turned out I just did not have plugged in tight enough, after that was fixed it has also worked great!

I wish I would have invented this! The Tilia Foodsaver is a great kitchen device. We use it most often to vacuum seal and then freeze meats, fish and poultry we buy at wholesale clubs. The variable size bags (you make them to the exact size you need) allow us to prepare single serving portions so we only have to thaw exactly what we are going to prepare. It's easy (and fun) to use and the instructional video that accompanied ours made the learning curve quite short. The Tilia Foodsave is easy to use, comes with easy to understand instructions and, although we haven't owned ours long enough to determine its long term durability, it seems well made. This device allows you to purchase in bulk, greatly retard spoilage and reduce waste -- all money saving features. It's not inexpensive, but the value is high as it will pay for itself many times over.

This vacuum is a fairly bare-bones unit. Like many lower cost units it has a rather short hose so you may have a hard time reaching areas. Also, the head of the vacuum continues to spin even when in the upright position.

It does have a nice sturdy feel and a powerful suction.

Eureka 4331AX is a pretty easy to use cleaner. No problems with that.

I had a lot of doubts about purchasing this machine. How good could it be? It's so cheap! Well, I couldn't be happier. It is light, compared to the competition. It even seems to propel itself. It has a tremendous amount of suction. Say good bye to dog hair! I had been using a dinosaur (a 20 year old Eureka) and with this machine in my hands, I feel like I've entered the new millennium. If you really don't need the bells and whistles of expensive machines, this is the way to go.

I bought this vacuum 3 months ago & so far Im satisfied with its cleaning power & powerful suction, it is noisy & a little heavy to lift but worth its price...

The Good: Does a very good job of cleaning my carpets and rug. I've had similarily priced Eureka and Red Devil uprights that did not do as thorough a job. Also, both of those brands fell apart after a few months. Comes with several hose attatchments, and (for me) it's pretty lightweight.

The Bad: you need to assemble it and there's a flaw in the instructions in my opinion. The last step they have you do is to break off the on/off plastic lock but it's hard to do after everything is locked in and put together. I had to take everything apart, break the piece off, and then reassemble. This uses filter bags that you'll beed to stock up on. This isn't a super-heavy duty vacuum. It's a lightweight plastic model (but I live in an apartment and it's plenty for me).

For this style and price range, this is my recommendation over similar Eureka and Red Devil brand vacuums.

Powerful suction and complete accessories. The only drawback is it is too noisy...But for this price, it is a good vacuum...

I recently purchased a Wap 60113 vacuum along with this HEPA filter. This filter will NOT work on the 60113 without a Wap #11762 filter disk which is NOT included with either the vacuum or the HEPA filter. Wap Paper and HEPA filters are longer than the standard fleece filters and therefore need a spacer to fill the additional void. There doesn't appear to be any way to make the longer filters work without the filter disk. I have ordered one directly from Wap....I'll modify this review once I have received the disk and confirmed that it works as advertised.

... which is what you want in a vacuum... - you DO need the disc adapter to use this on the 10 gallon vacs, - the description is lacking in that it says it works with 10 gallon units - which it does if you have the adapter disc to accommodate the extra surface area of the genuine HEPA filter.

Without the adapter you CAN NOT put this on a SQ-10 series unit, so tell amazon to start stocking the adapter! I, too, had or order mine - from germany!

There are no other sources for true HEPA filtration and 120 CFM airflow - except the ALTO product - and 120CFM is at least double what you would get from ANYTHING else on the market in the HEPA (or pseudo-HEPA - be careful with these) category.

DO use bags - you do not want the dirt to reach the HEPA unit or it will clog fast. I also put 2 wraps of toilet paper around mine to catch some of the particles that make it through the bag and then unwrap and toss this "extra filter" with every bag change - which greatly extends the life of the HEPA unit.

Note - ALTO is equivalent to WAP in Germany, but I think they sold the WAP domain when wireless caught on. WAP is pronounced "VAP" in german, and probably has something to do with things that inhale deeply (my guess..) but when their domain name was worth more than they could possibly imagine, ALTO suddenly popped up out of nowhere. Same company - different name.

The exhaust air from the 10 gallon unit with HEPA and adapter does meet mil-spec and is the cheapest way to get there. The SQ-10 also has a ground connection on the hose and can accept anti-static hose for ESD control in datacenters or assembly shops - it is then a fully ESD safe HEPA unit, and the only one on the market with a grounded hose. Note that the factory hose is not an ESD hose and must be replaced to achieve this.

Finally - the WAP/Alto is the quietest vac made with this much airflow - you can talk to a person with the vac in between the two of you in a normal tone of voice and be understood - all other vacs seem to require SHOUTING to be heard - it is heavily noise insulated and suitable for office or shop work without disturbing people nearby on the phone or working. Again - there is nothing else that compares - save your hearing - buy a WAP.

It does the job. Use it to pick up dirt, hair & things. Keeps a charge fine. Nice slick design. Handy little dustbuster...good value for the twenty dollars I spent. Huzzah.

It's true value for money.Quite handy and easy to use on Sofa,bed where you do not want to use your regular vacuum.It's pretty light weight too.With the two select speed you can use it with other surfaces too.Won't replace your bigger vacuum but handy,easy to clean,light weight.

Good to have it as a second vacuum.

We received our Eureka 4880BT and couldn't wait to try it out. After doing the living room and bedroom carpets, the amount of dog hair this machine sucked up, from what we thought were clean carpets, was nothing short of amazing. But even more, the fine dust and dirt particals this vacuum cleans up is fantastic.
If I were to have one complaint about the vacuum, it would have to be the switch for selecting either carpet or hard surfaces. It's kind of cheap in quality compared to the rest of the vacuum, as is the foot switch which unlocks the handle from the locked upright position.

My reccomendation is, if you're waivering between a bagless vacuum and one that needs bags, spend the extra dollars to go bagless. This machine sucks up such huge amounts, that going bagless will pay for its self in no time at all.

This is my first Eureka, being a former Hoover consumer, but all I can say is "Eureka" we made the right choice!

A great vacuum in a long line of great vacuums' from Eureka! I have researched different vacuums for the past 3 months by searching different review boards. I found that the Eureka 4880 series had the least amount of problems. The 4880BT (not really sure what the BT means) was easy to assemble right out of the box. I opted for the 4880 -vs- the 4885 because I felt that I really did not need the dirt sensor and I did not want to miss out on the rebate from Eureka.

Hard to find any of the 4880 series of vacuums to purchase. The Eureka web site is so out of date you have a hard time finding any of their new vacuums.

I bought this item because of the good review of the previous user, and she is right! I used this vacuum to clean my bathroom, kitchen, and stairs. It is very powerful and the surfaces have never looked this much better. Its dust-collected cup seems small, but it can hold a lot of stuff.

The minor flaw is that it is quite noisy and its cord seems to be shorter than I would like. But definitely it is worth the money and it does its job.

First, I am a fan of Eureka vaccums. The canister model I own is 14 years old and has always been a workhorse, so you can consider me prejudiced about this brand name and the review that follows.

I bought this little "baby" two months ago and I waited to review until I had used the machine a number of times. Having used several of the dustbusters over the years, I can compare. Yes, this Eureka has a cord--but it is a *very* long cord--so it is not limiting. It is a powerful vaccum which I do not find to be loud or high-pitched. It is for small jobs when lugging out the big machine is too much of a bother.

I just used it to clean the lint from the back of the dryer, which is in a small confined space and it has always been difficult to get the big vaccum back there. This little Eureka did a fabulous job getting all the stuck-together lint both deep inside the back of the dryer and around it: the floors and walls too!

The cup is easy to remove and clean, just rinse or spritz a little cleaner on it. It holds a surprising amount of "junk".
Yes, the machine can get "hot" but so do full size vacs; I do not consider that an issue. I have used it when vacuuming the ceiling--I now live in the southwest and the ceilings are a problem--and was very happy with the lightness of holding the vac while working and standing on a step ladder.

Downside: storing the long cord. I still haven't figured out how to wrap it or quite what to do with it yet. The extension hose is a useful attachment but the plastic could be a slightly better grade.

I bought this vac because the price was so low and decided to give it a try. I am very pleased that I did.

This does a really good job of cleaning, but the designers seem to have overlooked ease of use when they came up with this pricey, albeit sleek-looking, machine. Detaching and re-attaching the motorized nozzle in order to use the bare floor brush (for hard-to-reach areas) and the other attachments is a true pain. Each part of the cleaning wand and the nozzle locks with a button, and pressing this button down in order to detach the various attachments will take the better part of your day, and have you cursing after a while. Further, the motor on the carpet cleaner dies out every so often because the connection on the hose gets loose -- you need to keep the arc of the hose steady so the carpet cleaner stays on, or fidget once in a while with the hose to get it at the right angle. I wished I had not fallen for the sales pitch so easily. It's a good idea to try assembling and disassembling the various components of this machine in the store before you spend the equivalent of a small fortune on it. Or maybe you have stronger fingers than I do, but I doubt it.

This is a wonderful appliance. It has stylishly designed neo-modernist chassis, a wildly powerful motor, and excellent hepa features. If you are involved with someone who claims to have dust allergies and refuses to do housework, this is a perfect gift -- it will clear their sinuses while they are cleaning the house. But, needless to say, it makes cleaning so much fun, that you'll fight over the right to use it!

I bought this shop vac hoping to use it to sweep up bird seeds, cat & dog hair. It really doesn't have the suction necessary to pick up more than a few feathers! I was very disappointed and I can not get help from Amazon making a return so I must be stuck without a refund!!

I mostly use this little vac on a 21/2 inch dust collection system for my table saw and miter saw. It does a real good job of removing dust and chips from the two tools. I have it hanging on a 10x10 post to one side of my small shop and can vacuum the whole shop floor with the 18 foot vac hose that came with the machine. It has a good selection of tools and filter replacement is fast and easy. However, it is noisy. It actually drowns out the sound of my table saw. The 4" Delta dust collector I use for my planer and jointer is actually quieter than this little vac. I will continue to use it (maybe build a sound box for it), because it does do a great job. Except for the noise level, I would reccommend it to anyone.

What A wonderful wonderful, vacuum. WHAT POWER!!!! Every garage in America should have this. This Shop-Vac does not miss any dust. You have got to give this A try!!!!
