Very useful Veriseal vacuum seal storage
I have very much enjoyed the vacuum seal containers. I only had one problem and that was that the large container, the vacuum seal would not seal and I can't find anyone to help me with and exchange for it. I have found many uses for these containers. I mainly needed them for storage of homemade candies here at Christmas time. Can anyone help me with getting hold of the company to get some help? I really need to get a new lid for the large container.

Necessary part for the Fein Turbo vacuums
If you're doing woodworking or sanding, you need the HEPA filter (see my review of that part). To install the HEPA filter, you need this part.

It came with no instructions but was not hard to figure out. Just takes a little force to get the screw into the hole in the flange (from the cup side). The flange fits into one end of the HEPA filter, and the screw locks the filter/flange/screw "assembly" in place.

    Only use with Loc-Line Hose?
I made the mistake of thinking I could use anyone's hose with this gate. I've found the connection to be hard to make with the clear plastic wire reinforced hose I find available to me locally. I see that Loc-Line has a complete line of products and it might work quite well as a system, but it has not worked well for me and I've replaced them with another more generic solution. I've given it a three stars only because I did not find a problem with the gate itself, I just found it difficult to addapt with hose clamps and generic hose.

OK as standalone - but not with other Mr Nozzle attachments
OK this item is as advertised and does attached to the Mr. Nozzle (red) hose. Both attachments are for uncarpeted floors as implied but not specially stated (ie not for carpets). However the straight solid extensions will not accept the two attachments shipped with the Mr. Nozzle hose set. Still no way to use those two items with solid extensions.

      Panasonic #mc-v7531
I recently purchased this vacuum so I am still playing with it. At first I was very impressed with this vacuum - but I am finding some bugs! I took it to my sisters' for a true test as she has VERY thick carpet and her vacuum is hard to maneuver on. I was impressed and so was she. My cons so far include- if you hit under the couch it will switch the vacuum to tool setting and I think after it is loosened up a bit from use this will happen more often - use of vacuum (2nd use of tools) the dirt sensor in the tube had to be wiped off - (keep in mind my house isn't that dirty!) This concerns me and I want to run through a few more test with the tools/hose to see if that was just a fluke ( take it out to the car) Overall, I am impressed with the suction and flexibility of low to high carpet- just unsure of switch to tools and dirt sensor

      Hard to Clean
The Ridgid Paper Filter is a necessary evil while using the Ridgid vacume cleaner. I recently purchased a Ridgid 8 Gallon vacume cleaner for use during numerous home improvement projects. The Ridgid Paper filter didn't handle sheetrock dust very well and wasn't easy to clean afterward. I ended up throwing away my first filter instead of cleaning it. I wish that Ridgid would offer a sleave or wrap around paper/foam cover for their filter to aid cleanup.

        SECURE STOPPER BUT ABSORBS COLOR
This stopper is a secure one, so it certainly does the job. However, we find it best for kitchen or refrigerator use as the bottom of the stopper tends to absorb the color of whatever your bottle contains.

For instance, when used on creme de menthe it left a lovely Irish green on the bottom of the stopper. This doesn't hamper the stoppers future use for another bottle, only detracts from its appearance.

        unsafe battery
The nickle-cadium rechargeable battery pack wennt out with-in the first month of purchase. that's why I got on line to see if i could purchase another for a reasonable price. NO REPLACEABLE BATTERY PACK I guess i'm stuck for $29.99 plus tax the dealer won't do anything after 30 days.****CRAIG*****

It works but it's stupidly designed
        2 1/2 stars

        Pros:

        1. It can lift stains, particularly cat hairball vomit stains (my main use for it).

        2. It's been somewhat improved from earlier models.

        3. It's the only thing like it on the market in the sub-forty buck price range (at least when I bought my second one).

        Cons:

        1. It's extremely hard to clean. There are so many inaccessable nooks and crannies in the waste liquid reservoir that very quickly, no matter how much rinsing you do, vile particles and sludge build up.

        2. Lousy NiCad battery. Battery life is poor. Only gives about 4 minutes of usable time per charge, which can be inadequate, plus it is not replaceable when it dies (lasted three years for me on my first one, I've got 18 months so far on my second one). Takes a long time to charge.

        3. Can leak waste liquids from reservoir. If the intake reservoir is getting full of liquids you have vacuumed up, it eventually will start leaking. Or, if you try setting it down, because it is not flat on the bottom, it could tip sideways and spill.

        4. Nozzle for spraying cleaning solution is flimsy. My first one broke right off and on my second, newer unit, it appears to be a new design but I still don't trust it.

        5. No rotating power brush, just a little three-inch strip of brush material.

Summary: my first one aggravated me but did its job for three years before the battery died. I wanted to replace it with a better designed carpet spot cleaner, but at the time, there wasn't anything else like it on the market so I bought another one. It's a little bit improved from the first one, but still aggravating.

I'd shop around and see if any competitors have introduced a similar cleaner before considering this one again.

        Glad to own it
My mom bought this for me as a gift and thought it would be useful since I have small, growing children and I'm glad to have received it. It really does the job it was intended to do and I'm really glad the cleaner you use with this unit is readily available at my local Walmart store. The only downside is the battery life doesn't last long so this unit is really only useful for small spots or spills.

        Dirt Devil Spot Scrubber SE2800
        Made by Dirt Devil
        • Rotating power brush
        • Includes 14-oz. collection tank and 6-oz. solution tank

        no stars
While the budget price might make this product attractive, it is almost completly worthless. The brush that spins has no power behind it and the suction from the vacuum is not very strong either. I succeeded in doing nothing more than pushing stains around which I still had to treat with Resolve and blot up

        Great, misunderstood machine
Looking at a number of previous reviews, I'd like to clarify a few points:

        * It's not a carpet cleaner, it's a _spot scrubber_. Anyone purchasing a machine with a single brush who expects to clean whole sections of carpet deserves all the self-inflicted frustration they've expressed here. My father-in-law tried to use our scrubber to clean his entire entryway. His verdict: "The thing is worthless." My wife and I just roll our eyes.
        * The spray nozzle shoots out lots of solution in a narrow, focused pattern, perfect for treating _spots_. It takes only a few pumps. The image of someone stalking around a room trying to spray anything more than about 20 inches square (again, anything more than a _spot_) in just painful.
        * The thing sucks strongly enough to fill the dirty water reservoir. I suspect that some folks haven't cracked the manual or noticed the yellow knob to switch between scrubbing and suction.

All that said, I hate to think of living without this machine. We've used it suck up spills and to erase the stains left by our cats and by our son with a permanent "Sharpie" marker. You can actually watch the cat puke (or worse) get sucked up. I always felt a little uncertain when attacking stains like this with a towel or sponge. How can anyone armed with a squirt bottle and a brush believe they're doing anything more than just smearing the stain into the carpet?

I like the extra-long cord. The rotating brush may seem a little weak, but stains really do disappear under it.

What I don't like so much is that the unit can be difficult to clean, leaving ugly stuff in the intake and waste reservoir. All the reservoirs and caps and switches can get a bit fiddly as well. And it does sound more like a jet engine than a vacuum.

The Spot Scrubber isn't perfect (4 out of 5 stars), but it's small, works very well for us, and has exceeded my (realistic) expectations.

        Good For pet spots
I bought one to use on pet spots on my rug. I find it works well getting out cat piss and regular stains on the rug. The vacuum part works pretty well. I liked mine so much I bought one for my Mother who has stain problems from her animals. If you want to use as a whole floor cleaner than it wouldn't work good. It is just good on cleaning out spots on the rug.
